Have they said anything about any changes to how datacenters work? I have a bunch of characters on a west coast server but I’m on east coast. I’d love to be able to say “connect me to east coast instead”.
I assume it’s still based on the server the character was created on?
i’m disappointed that the only retroactive reps they’re converting to warband-wide are DF ones… hopefully this is a “just for now” thing and they expand it to earlier expacs at some point.
Still, very excited for the rest of the changes.

Agreed. Love all the changes, but still would need to get class-specific tier pieces on other classes. Getting every other class token besides yours is so disheartening. Was really looking forward to being able to collect transmogs in older raids. Right now the changes will be nice, but doing old raids will still be sad.

honestly? it does not surprise me in the least. they ALWAYS do this. They add great stuff then add something to ruin it or nerf it. It’s a give and take system. it’s been like this from the beginning.

They literally said they’re going to work backwards through each expansion to convert more reputations to Warband-wide in the article:
When it comes to future conversion of reputations, the current plan is to work backward into older expansions, converting many old reputations over time. As it’s a time-consuming effort, it will take a while to implement. Similar to reuptations within Dragonflight , there will also be a limited number that won’t be converted, usually this will be because it doesn’t make sense from a fantasy perspective or because it involves a character-specific choice. For example, Aldor and Scryer in the Burning Crusade and the Covenants in Shadowlands won’t be converted because they represent per-character choices.

Seriously Blizzard pls reconsider this one. The Furbolg quests/rep/achieve was a nice experience, but definitely not something we should have to grind out more than once.
I did it on my hunter and play many characters, I feel like I should be able to use this reward on a new main or alt. Seems like a stretch to say that wouldn’t make sense to do.

‘ Acknowledge the player behind the screen
“ this would create an unfair advantage for players who play many alts over those who spend their time on one or just a few characters.“
…
The people who play many alts have given up their time to do so, so they are often behind in other ways than people who just play one or two characters.
People who play alts should get credit for the time they spent, not to do so is UNFAIR to those players because they missed out on other things.
and then you head right into inconsistency
‘ The philosophy we are following for this conversion is that if an achievement has the possibility of sharing progress across characters (e.g., do x things), we want to convert it so all characters can share progress on it. It shouldn’t matter whether you returned 50 flags as a defender in Warsong Gulch on a single character or whether you like PvPing on 10 characters and did it 5 times on each.’
And for the record I have max rep on about 10 characters in dragonflight on all main faction reps but what you are suggesting isn’t fair to people who play alts.

Best solution may be a BoA item on the vendor to buy and send to an alt to skip the process. Have it be named “Furbolg for Dummies”

Nerfing one of the OG racials because “people feel that need to play human for it”
“We don’t want players to feel compelled to play a specific character or race to earn Warband-level rewards more efficiently, so we will convert this race-specific bonus into something new. We’ll share more information on it at a later date”
Explain to me why “racials” on retail are still a thing… considering that min maxers will ALWAYS chace the slightest posibility to get ahead of others…

Ah, i must have scrolled past that part by accident. Thanks!
That camp fire seems like a flat downgrade from Blizzcon image. Less cozy and everyone’s just standing around like they’re waiting for a bus.
The first draft had character.

Ok so, good progress! Good info.
First things first, just make all reps account-wide, there’s no amount of ‘does it make sense’ that can be applied to make this make sense either way - that question is a rabbit hole for so many things in game so let’s just go full rep.
Second, I read 3mil to unlock all Warband bank tabs? That is pure INSANITY if that is the case
Warband login screens scenery we can get other options for in time? YES PLEASE and thank you! It’s minor but such a good thing and looking forward to that a lot!

Yeah, that was the first thing I noticed. The mockup was so much nicer looking than this. This just looks bland and disappointing after seeing the other.
You’d think that the SOP would be “under promise and over deliver,” but Blizzard always seems to get it backward.

We should be able to use our warbands in follower dungeons.

Why the change to have the four characters just standing upright in an idle state?
The screen showcased at expansion announcement had so much more character.

What about maps locked behind quests?
Will my alts finally be able to go to the Molten Front, for example without clearing out old questlines in Hyjal? Will alts have to go to Nazjatar to get to Mechagon? etc

Love this, but it looks like crap. your previous mockup was way better. why only 4 characters? was it 5 in the mockup?

Will transmog unlock retro-actively for quest completed?
For example if I finished many quests on my hunter, will I unlock transmog for cloth/plate assigned to that quest?

Reputation prior to Dragonflight won’t be account-wide? I’ll be disappointed if that’s the case. Or did I get it wrong?
Will MoP challenge mode achievements be account wide or remain character specific
