The War Within Alpha

I’m not gonna lie…getting Yrel’s Lightsworn Orcs would be amazing.

I also still want to know exactly how the hell Grom screwed up AU Draenor so badly the planet was actively dying. Yes, he makes a big song and dance about forcibly converting the Mag’har, but Yrel and the Naaru weren’t the ones just casually strolling down to the Ogre mines to snap a few necks in the weekly uprising.

Here’s the thing that’s really gonna get people annoyed at me, and the fact its Lore-compliant is just the cherry on top.

We know the Dreadlords can mimic being ‘enslaved’ by any of the Primal Powers.

Lothraxion magically re-appeared in the Vindicaar shortly after the end of Shadowlands. Where did he go? And surely he wasn’t the only Nathrezim convert the Light had made, or thought they’d made?

Odds are the AU-version of Lothraibro and his ilk convinced Yrel to do it, or more distressingly, as we saw in Zerith Mortis, they kidnapped her, replaced her with one of their own since apparently Dreadlords can hide themselves and appear as anyone else, even to the point Demon Hunters cannot detect them unless the Dreadlord in question allows them to.

The Civil War might be the machination of Denathrius using the scraps of the Legion, what Mawsworn remain, his Dreadlords and their agents in the other Primal Powers to stir up a conflict between the Horde and the Alliance, and then have the Alliance go into a civil war when it looks like they’re about they’re finally demolish the Horde and Deus Vult the population, so that there’s no force strong enough on Azeroth left to actually oppose him, and with what his agents learned in Zerith Mortis, plans to use any of the other First One installations to remake himself, and then the rest of the Universe, having seen how Zoval failed and how we have a track-record of wafflestomping entities far outside of our weight-class when we all get our ritalin at the same time.

Yeah, but all that means we have to acknowledge Zerith Mortis.

I refuse to acknowledge Zerith Mortis. EDIT: To specify, I specifically refuse to acknowledge Zerith Mortis specifically because of the Dreadlord nonsense it generated, and it transformed Sargeras into the ultimate patsy.

This assume he actually did something. A lot of these things are points of view and from bias sources.

Its Grom.

The man’s been fundamentally incapable of making the correct choice since “Beyond the Dark Portal”.

Now, while I am inclined to blame Grom…

I also support the theory Gentarn previously made in that the AU Draenor was not meant to be accessable, and because it was, the universe itself started to rectify the situation by turning the world into a barren rock.

Or … its our fault. By our reality overlapping over theirs, even briefly, our fate became theirs. Draenor was damned by our presence, regardless of if we saved it from the Legion or not. Our future was of a shattered and drained world, and because AU Draenor was in the past, and it rapidly accelerated, temporally-speaking, to reach the same ‘era’ as ours, it was also pulled to the same fate as our Draenor.

The vehicle of its damnation didn’t matter. The Legion consuming it whole, Ner’zhul accidentally blowing the planet up, or the Army of the Light draining it dry to fuel their next Crusade, all that mattered was that Draenor had been tainted by our Fate.

Goblins! Yes!

ETA:

Hallowfall, the Arathi and the entire story of the zone (and beyond?) might be the storyline that finally drags me back into paying attention to an actual story in this game after years of ignoring it.

Everything I am seeing, tells me Hallowfall will be visually amazing and the story so far sounds like it’s working well.

I said it before but, it’s been years since I’ve been this excited about WoW.

I’ve been excited about cave humans since blizzcon and my excitement only grows the more I see. The fact that there’s a still extant branch of the Arathi Empire somewhere out there is fascinating

Sorry the best I can do is the Flowerpicker clan of Orcs

I don’t disagree, but given certain quests in Dragonflight, it looks like the Shadow Lands are staying with us as a background thing for a while to come.

Yeah sadly I find myself in the space where I don’t WANT to acknowledge Zereth Mortis (or anything in Shadowlands really) but I am grudgingly forced to in order to have a consistent relationship with the lore going forward :sob: I hate it

You stop that or I’ll bring up Med’an.

I mean, we can fix the Bel’ameth shadowlands connections

We just need to tell Xal’atath to pull a Sylvanas in Midnight so we can have the Night Elves live in Silvermoon.

Also, we’ll just casually do this to cement Queldorei superiority over the Kaldorei.

I mean…

If my theory about the Arathai Empire having Draenish influences, both culturally and biologically, is true, that’s a whole race/culture of Me’dans.

It’s simple. We use the Bronze Dragonflight to go back in time, and prevent the Sundering from ever happening. All elves live in harmony in Zin’Azshara, ruled by the Eternal Queen.

is that really the only thing we’re gonna blame me for? i’m getting off light let’s go boys

To be fair, that’s the only thing we can prove.

You know, I thought I was okay, I thought I was reformed, but now I want to burn down another elf tree. Thanks for the reminder Gentarn.
