The vindication of Sylvanas

You know that isn’t the reason why Sylvanas got pushback. Hitler wasn’t hated because he was white. Even if you won’t be honest with us, at least be honest with yourself.

Thats usually the theme of "ends justify the means* narratives. No one is qualified to make that argument, and the only time we make an argument to the contrary its in hindsight, and usually only successful if we didnt use immoral means to exact an end. Like not assassinating Stalin. (something something Godwin’s Law).

And yet the Horde still deal with the Ebon Blade despite them being undead too. Your argument is invalid and your solipsism is worrying. You should hold Sylvanas to the same standard you hold other characters.

That still proves Sylvanas is unqualified and doesn’t prove her right.

Why? Just because I like this fictional character?

I encourage people who disagree to mute me. I’ve already muted all of them.

But to incite a public action against one specific person for liking a character… that’s a bit too far.
Is that what you are your friends do on your anti-Sylvsnas discord do?

Encourage witch hunts?

This is the argument she gave to Saurfang to get him on board with the conflict. It does not however automatically mean she felt the same herself. And this plan was also operating on the idea that the Death of Malf would create the desired wound. Which plays into that scene where Saurfang can’t quite figure out why she seemed so irritated that Tyrande would not also be on the field (as the plan required that the NEs have their leadership intact to put pressure on Anduin’s weak leadership).

She frankly, repeatedly, does and implies things throughout that story that seem to act counterintuitively or in contest with the very plan she inspired Saurfang to make.

Careful, you might get flagged for saying that. Also, how do you put people on ignore here? I’m still learning how to use the functions on the forums.

Yes, but if you are going to point it out, it should be done in recognition that this is a theme… not like an attack on Sylvanas as a person… because shes not a person. Shes a plot device. She exists to ask the question could the ends justify the means?

I already did flag that.

Like how you tried to incite public action against me with accusations of “ism”'s and “phobe”'s for how I feel about Yrel?

What makes your feelings for Sylvanas more valid than my feelings for Yrel? But I can put my feelings aside for facts.

Have you flagged me as well? I won’t hold it against you if you have, I’m just curious because I have my suspicions about who did, but could be wrong.

This is once again, what you accuse Sylvanas fans of doing in EoN. The text never even suggests that. It could have been that, but there is nowhere in Sylvanas’ inner monologue where she says Finally! You can lead an old orc to water but you can’t make hin slaughter. I thought Id never be able to manipulate Saurfang into making a pre-emptive strike on the Alliance, lest they eventually wipe the horde off the face of Azeroth. What a rube! He doesnt realize that I am going to wipe the horde off the face of Azeroth! Mwahahahaha!

You made statements about real world historical events that were Islamophobic.

We weren’t talking about Azeroth.

And I wasn’t the only one who pointed it out.

I might have. If it was a comment I found to be obviously offensive, or trolling… not if it was offensive while actually adding to the conversation.

You feel too personally attached to Sylvanas to be objective or something along those lines its not the truth but it is as close to the truth as I want to come

She proved my point but I will edit the post to be abit more… “Forum Friendly” by just removing the bad part.

my suspicions tells me that Maw guy is micah, but I could be wrong… I have an issue telling forum posters of the same race and class apart.

Okay.

Again, I’m just putting my interpretation out there. Im saying “this is how I feel about this based on these book quotes.” It’s up to anyone else to see objectivity in it.

Ive gone to great length to supply actual canon tk support my interpretation.

Is the problem here that my interpretation isn’t as objective as you like? Or that I like this character at all?

yet you pers-… know what I cba anymore this is a waste of time.

So when you talk about real world historic events (the Crusades, certain boarding schools) it’s not anti-Christian prejudice, but when I talk about real world historical events (the Byzantine-Seljuk Wars, Saudi Arabia’s legal system) it’s Islamophobic? Only Baalsamael agreed with you, but Blizzard’s moderators clearly disagreed with you, case closed.

You have a knack for double standards, which I and others have pointed out. You’d last long in a political career.

Good. Thank you.

Thank you. That’s a compliment.
