This is hilariously OP, but we’ve waited long enough for them so why not?
I just want to see an army of ogres, orcs rushing the gates of stormwind. They are the OG badass Horde races. Somehow ogres aren’t playable though and it’s sad. + I want 2 heads on my Priest.
You could name him Puh’reest, ya know, if they let us put ’ in names.
That is better than I could ever hope to do.
I would love to see raids comprised of Ogres decimating Stormwind and other Alliance cities. It would be really amazing and likely very amusing to see!
Dream big, Ogre fans!
Actually, Ogres storming the gates may not be that realistic. It would be more of them flying straight to the throne room to play hacky sack with Anduin as the sack.
Or maybe something like this would happen:
Still, the sight of several airbone Ogres flying towards Stormwind would still be a frightening and awesome sight!

Straight up giving ogres Bloodlust might be broken, but I thought referencing them having originated the ability would be a good excuse for a temporary in-combat buff that makes them too large for doorways.
Definitely a racial should be called Size Matters, 2% less damage taken and their active should Enrage or Stonemauls fury (if given Stonemaul Ogres), giving a slight damage boost to all skills.
Those female trolls are based off the male kultiran as well, same as Rexxar.
The female maldraxxi gladiators are a good example of how the female kultiran rig could be used. The males are modified ogres, so that’s a good example as well.
For racials I like these ideas.
Passives:
- Size matters: Damage taken is reduced by 2%. Health increased by 2%
- Imperial legacy: Resource cap is increased by 5%
- Gladiator veteran: Haste is increased by 1% up to 5% for each enemy within melee range.
Active:
- Clobber 'em: beat down an enemy stunning them for 2 seconds and 4 seconds afterwards are slowed by 50%
Maybe a bit skinny for an ogre, but that’s the nature of WoW. Definitely a good looking model regardless.
I get this.
I think either those or the female Blood Troll one would work well.
Gonna do a mockup?
If I do, it will have to be later.
Don’t have the time right now to make one.
I thought the picture posted earlier of a female Ogre with the Blood Troll model was a really good one.
That might be a bit much. If it’s stamina I think it’d be more likely.
That is an amazing idea.
In planning out a script for a possible event idea, I was thinking I might utilize the majority of it in /say as opposed to /shout.
In the beginning, I can use /shout to announce the event and the march beginning, but in order to go through the entirety of the script, it might be a bit on the spam side if I did its entirety in /shout. I don’t know the proximity of /say, though it might be fairly close to the speaker in order to hear them. Something to ponder on, as I would like people to be able to see the text as they march behind others.
I would of course post the script in full on here after the event for those wanting to see what all I said throughout the event. I’d have to make several macros to be able to go through it while manually guiding my marching Ogre and keeping an eye on the illusion timer I’d have to refresh it as needed.
Lots of stuff to ponder, but I’m glad people are interested in an Ogre event!

Could easily make the model slightly heavier. The female kultiran model is a bit thicker than that one and they both use the same animations.
Another example being the male kultiran and the maldraxxi skeletons. Same animations but one model is a LOT skinnier
Only if caster ogres are the two-headed variety and one character has to be shared by two players. They must then constantly battle who’s controlling the movements and whose pressing the hotkeys.
