The symbols do look like. Though I have to admit with how the Warcraft 2 Remaster announcement showed off Ogres over the likes of Forest Trolls, I do feel teased, and may not be completely objective.
Something I wanted to point out with the Goblin Cartel factions is whether we could see Megs Dreadshredder appear as part of the Bilgewater faction. If so, we could see a return of the Dunemaul Clan doing whatever she had them do to ābetter serve the Horde.ā Definitely something to keep an eye on.
Iām also happy about Warcraft Rumble on PC. I donāt have a device to play it, since my tablet could barely run it. I thought I saw a potential new Ogre unit in the showing, but Iām not entirely sure.
As for the waystone design and that symbol on the 2025 road map:
It looked somewhat similar, though not quite. I even checked the tattoos on the arms of the old Ogre model, and itās sorta similar but still fairly different.
Not really sure what to think, so I canāt say itād be anything Ogre related. Iāll have to think on it some more.
Anyway, Iāll likely have more to say when I can. Got more things to do today, including taking care of one of my dogs who came back from having surgery today. Donāt worry, hes fine and happy to be back home.
-Dream big, Ogre fans!
Even if it is related, though, since itās a banner like the Plunderstorm banner, it could easily just be some Highmaul Coliseum battle royale or something.
Wowhead is speculating that the green tint with the winter tag at the end could mean a Legion Remix.
We have a new audio novella, Heartlands, with the entire playlist linked below.
It is revealed that the Magāhar have been granted Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands. Now while the AU Stonemaul are not mentioned, it does create story opportunity for them. For example, either attempting diplomacy with the nearby Boulderfist or deciding to just take one their holdings as their own.
Didnāt even know they were connected. Glad some of you have far more knowledge than me and notice the things I wouldāve missed.
I had played it on PC with Bluestacks. It was an O.K. game. I stopped around the time Sylvanas came out even though I had almost unlocked her. When it comes to the Blizz launcher Iād try it out again.
It was just my eyes that want to see anything Ogre so Iām probably wrong but it did look similar enough that I had to say something in the hopes it actually could be. Wishful thinking I guess.
EDIT:
Fel Ogres? Is there such a thing?
I donāt think weāve ever meet a Fel Ogre, but since we have Fel Orcs, I donāt see why we couldnāt get other Fel variants. I just know that thereās an article speculating on the Road Map and the think the green tint with the Winter 25 at the end could mean a Legion Remix.
Now as to the symbol itself, I honestly donāt know what is it and canāt image that Blizzard would display a potential playable race announcement like that.
Iām assuming that it could be some type of event.
Iāve wanted to see āfel ogresā for a long time. They were even part of one of my earliest zone design concepts. It feels less inevitable now with Legion behind us, but it could always happen.
I really hope the roadmap isnāt just Legion Remix. I donāt want them to skip Warlords of Draenor. I see so many people say that Legion was good and Warlords of Draenor was bad, but if anything thatās a reason to not skip Warlords of Draenor. One of the appeals of Remix was the rewards. If you want to go back and get Legion rewards you missed, itās still fun and you can still do it. If you want to go back and get Warlords of Draenor rewards you missed, a lot of them are still really annoying and gated behind some frustrating stuff.
That said, the reasoning for the roadmap banner being Legion Remix could also mean Warlords of Draenor. Warlords of Draenor is when the Legion began their return, a reason for the fel green color, and if that symbol is an ogre thing, well, they had a heavy presence in that expansion unlike Legion. I donāt want to read too much into it, but then as long as Iām not assuming a playable race, itās not really a big risk on my expectations.
That is a really good point.
Hopefully we can learn something about that in the weeks ahead as they give us more 11.1 information.
We started with Mists of Pandaria remix, so Iām not really putting stock in continuity when it comes to the Remixes. Though in the event of a Legion Remix, Iām unsure on what to createā¦ I had tentative plans for a Tauren Paladin, but gave into that impulse to create one during the TWW prepatch.
I might just do what I did during the Mists Remix. In that I recreated my main Elemental Shaman to make it easier, while also making it a different race to make some kind of difference.
Unrelated to Ogres, but I am desperately hoping for a Remix: Wrath of the Lich King where they retroactively give us a caster necromancer class.
Well, at the time it seemed to me like Mists of Pandaria Remix was a psuedo-Mists of Pandaria Classic since it came just after Cataclysm Classic and it seemed kinda weird to keep doing Classic after that. Now that just announced Mists of Pandaria Classic though. I have no idea what Classic is even supposed to be anymore, and Iām not sure they do either.
That would be pretty cool. Thereās no precedent for anything like that yet, but Iāve said before that I think Remixes are a great time for them to add things that they passed up before and it hasnāt been the āright timeā to add them since.
Now that I have a bit more time and can focus with one of my dogs back from his surgery and doing much better (and again, hes doing fine and is back to his happy self), Iāll type a bit more about yesterdayās announcements.
-Iām pretty happy to see Warcraft 1 and 2 get remastered and included in a bundle with Warcraft 1-3 Remastered/Reforged. Itās something Iāll get at some point when the budget allows for it.
-Warcraft Rumble for PC Iām very happy for. As Iāve mentioned before, the only thing I have to play it is an older tablet, which had some trouble running it correctly. With it being on PC, I can actually play it until I can eventually get a better smart device, but Iād still play it on PC primarily.
-The possibility of a Legion Remix isā¦not exactly exciting to me, to be completely honest. Legion is one of my least favorite expansions, and itās not really something Iād want to go through much again.
I will say that if it comes with more character slots for our accounts, then Iāll be happy of course. I am curious if WoD Remix could happen, since that had a lot of speculation. Not to mention that it could have Ogre themed items and rewards, which would be fun to get if so.
But anyway, weāll see what happens when it gets closer. Again, Iāll be happy if I get more character slots. Always in need of those.
-Player housing coming is a good sign that things people have been asking for are being considered by Blizzard. I think there have been several things Blizzard was adamant about not adding that they eventually changed their mind, such as Classic.
Now, I donāt think Ogres have even been outright refused. As best, we had that one weird comment about not knowing how to design Ogre females that female players would want to play as, but that didnāt seem as an outright āNEVER!ā comment. Not to mention that was a long time ago and design philosophy and the player base have changed.
And it isnāt like Blizzard wonāt put in playable races that have some complicated designs. Dracthyr, despite reusing some assets, have some complicated designs that were implemented. I know Ogres would have quite a lot of work, especially with two-head customization, but it might not be impossible.
But in the meantime, we just have to get back to the grindstone of marching in support for playable Horde Ogres:
Hopefully, it wonāt be another 20 years before we see that happen.
-Dream big, Ogre fans!
A new Hobgoblin model is being added in 11.1.
Iām not sure if the existing models will be changed or if it will be a new Undermine Hobgoblin, like how Argus introduced new Broken.

I know we should temper expectations, but I canāt help but see it as another step closer to playable Ogres.
Iām still waiting for Broken/Krokul, Fel Orcs, Ogres, Mokānathal, Satyrs, Taunka, Saurok, Yaungol and Saberon getting their own female model.
Just something I noticed today running through Exiles Reach. The Ogres there have a spiral tat/marking on their arms similar to the rune I was talking about.
Hereās a couple of pics I took from a video I found.
https://ibb.co/zGfmcbt
That is a neat find.
Though when it comes to that rune, there is speculation that it will be Player Housing. Which I honestly donāt see, since I donāt see why a Midnight feature would get highlighted on the Roadmap.
I still think it will be some event, but perhaps it would be Ogre related in some way.
We shall get the Midnight reveal in the Summer of 2025. Should we not have Ogres by them, hopefully we get them come Midnight.
Yea, Iāve heard the talk about it being housing and it does have a house shape but Iām with you that it is probably an event. Iām just hoping it turns out to have something to do with Ogres so if I notice a similar design while in game Iām going to mention it in the very off chance it actually does turn out to relate to Ogres.
EDIT: Just a thought. Those Ogres on Exiles Reach are supporting Necromancy so maybe that design could be related to that. So new Necromancer class? I donāt see that design looking like a rune I would equate with necromancy though.
Having everyone give Exiles Reach a look would be interesting.
All ogres have had that arm tattoo since the Dire Maul model update. Itās very close, which is why the symbol on the roadmap stands out to me, but itās not exact. The triangular brand in the Kargath Lords of War (which, incidentally, is also an ogre symbol) is maybe closer, but you still have to flip and rotate it to make it look the same.
I guess it could be related to the housing since itās similar to the Hearthstone symbol, but I think they probably would have just wrote āhousingā on the roadmap since they already announced it for Midnight and arenāt hiding it.
