Per the opening ceremony were getting the World Soul Sage which has the following three expansions confirmed:
- The War Within
- Midnight
- The Last Titan
The War Within is bringing us an Earthen allied race, which really surprised me since it’s neutral. Not sure if they’ll mention any other future playable races in the WoW panel or not.

there might be more in the mini patches at the end of dragonflight, plus we only really got information for the first bit we might get ogres later down the line i mean they showed a couple during the stream so its not like they’ve forgotten about em

So I just got done watching the announcement and…it sure was a thing. Gotta admit, the Stone Dwarf allied race kinda left a sour taste in my mouth. And no, it’s not because it wasn’t something I was specifically wanting, but I’ll go into that more later.
I’m going to look at the “Whats Next: WoW” thing and take some time to digest and gather my thoughts before I make a post. Obviously, yes I’ll still continue to march in in support for my most wanted playable races, including Ogres.
3 new expansions…hopefully we’ll see more playable races in them.

Brother I knew you would be soured again its kind of a joke they haven’t even mentioned it anywhere that they seen the races people want to see and the great work the community is doing supporting it only for Blizz to grant us another bout of silence on the subject.

Ogres would be a great addition and the Allied Race train is clearly continuing, so now is definitely the time to continue to be heard.

Dragonflight isn’t over and it will clearly have .5 and .7 patches, perhaps one of those will include other playable races.
Though I do find it very weird that the Horde Dwarves through the Earthen before we got Ogres. I kind of wonder if Midnight will have Forest Trolls as the next neutral allied race. After all Zul’Aman is in Quel’Thalas and it would give the Alliance a more Horde traditional race, like how Horde got with Dwarves with the Earthen.
The more I think about it, the more weird is it.

I’ll be honest I’m fuming 
… first Wildhammer Clan gets pushed into just a skin tattoo as Bronzebeard as they too similar yet we get just a rock version of a dwarf. It’s ridiculous.
I was praying, legit praying for a complete new race, Ogres, Sethrak, Tuskarr literally anything would have been so much better.
And by the sounds of the next 3 expansions it looks like Ogres may be a possibility in what 8 years?…

Taunka are a possibility so I guess Ogres too. I hope Mogu will become a playable race.

Well War Within is Earthen, Midnight is about Quelthalas I’m assuming finally High Elves, The Last Titan is Northrend Tuskarr/Taunka maybe?. But nothing to even give hope of playable Ogres.

Literally Dwarves with different beards. The Wildhammer Clan has helped the Alliance since WC2, literally on the council of three hammers and got crap all… but hey we got rock dwarves and ladies with beards for horde.

I just don’t get the Allied Race portion of all of this.
They’re just rockier Dark Iron Dwarves. It feels like the Mechagnome/Light Forged customization option debacle being repeated.
