https://www.strawpoll.me/16653267 A poll for where you believe the high elven allied race hub should be. Personally I like the idea of a new elven district for stormwind because it would guarantee open access to all races instead of just high elves.
I'm sad that Crystalsong is the least popular choice. Such an underused beautiful zone. It's a magic forest with a High Elven camp already there. Just boot the Sunreavers out :P
They already got rekt by undead once, its only a matter of time before bolvar snaps and theres literally a gate between the two zones that the undead control. I voted for new island because new content also dalaran floats and cant by expanded.

Give horde Eredar.
Give them alot of the same dranei skins.
Give them black orange red purple dark blue dark purple and greys.
Give them classes warrior deathknight shaman hunter demonhunter monk rogue priest mage and warlock.
Give them red orange and yellow andgreen eyes
Give them fel tattoos and scars.
Give them a burning tail and tattoos.
Then you could have your high elves.

Then go make your own thread with ideas and concepts and pitch them to Blizz and the community.
I'll support your request though - however I want High Elves first and foremost lol. Good Luck!

Personally I will always support High Elves as a playable race for the Alliance, mostly as any proper role-playing game worth its salt, I believe, should allow players the freedom and diversity of choice regarding what race, what class and what play style they want to play. High Elves are extremely prominent in the Alliance's history and to capitalize on the theme of faction pride and faction wars, have them made playable in BfA! (Granted by that same logic I would allow any race to play as any class, etc.)
I think Void Elves are fine but it was a missed opportunity for playable High Elves. But I understand that they had to make them distinguishable from Blood Elves, and they still could! Like others had mentioned, we're not looking for blue-eyed Blood Elves, we want High Elves.
I mean why do we have to make such a huge argument about it? I want just want to play as a High Elf, not looking to force anyone else to play as one, remove another race so they can be made playable. Just asking for one more race option, that's all.
Personally if I were selected on how to implement High Elves I would use time-travel. Seeing as the Horde used such a plot device to recruit the Mag'har orcs then why can't the Alliance? Imagine traveling to an alternate time-line Azeroth, in the same universe as the Draenor from WoD, where the Horde never invaded and thus weren't around to help stop the Burning Legion, with the ability to travel between timelines would arguably be attacking every Azeroth conceivable, destroying THAT Azeroth. With the High Elves being the last holdout, the humans and dwarves perhaps already wiped out, we convince them to come to our Azeroth where there is still very much hope for them and the Alliance.
It's crazy and unlikely and impossible but it wouldn't be the weirdest recruitment scenario by a long-shot honestly. Here's hoping we do see them playable one day, maybe not as an Allied Race but perhaps a full fledged core race with the Horde getting something similar for their side.
For the forgotten RPG side of WoW i give my support. Playing a High Elf on the alliance is totally different than playing a Blood Elf on the Horde.

Holy cow, 2000~ posts. I definitely support High Elf as an AR. I was really bummed that we only got a made-up-on-the-spot Void Elf addition. I made it work, but man it blows.

This is a very important bit for me; Blood Elves are one of my favorite races, I like that they are on the horde, and I like the story they have had there. My main is a Belf, and I wouldn't race change it to alliance if HE became playable.
But the reasons I want High Elves are almost the opposite of why I like BE. They are the road not taken, the "what if" of sticking with the alliance, a bunch of expats adrift on human culture, holding out to bits of their own culture that is just gone, because the BE changed to survive, and the HE themselves did so as well even while trying to hold down to it.
I just love the idea of the contrast between them, of their two diverging paths, of two different ways of moving forward after such a catastrophe. Unsurprisingly, the Purge of Dalaran and Isle of Thunder on both sides are still my fave WoW moment storywise.
The whole conceit behind a HE is so different from a BE, so being told that "The model is the same" or "they are the same race" is really frustrating, because the whole point of them is the different choices that they have taken, and were that path will ultimately take them.

Thank ye! :D
Also, have to point out, this is the reason why Void Elves don't serve as a compromise for High Elves, because all that contrast I brought up... yeah, it simply doesn't apply to them since they were BE until like 10 months ago.

Just a reminder there's already 4 elves and you're never going to get 5
Just assume there are a MINIMUM of 5,000,000 subscribers right now.
Add up ALLLLLL the forum request for "High Elves"... what do you get, MAYBE 5,000.
Assume the rest either don't care or don't want them, do the math and hold your breath.

Maybe So. What's your point? Like we are all wasting time on this forum, about a videogame, so the threshold of "wasting once's time" was already crossed a loooong time ago.
Some people want high elves and waste their time talking about them, I'm sure some of your WoW activities are equally fruitless.

Just a reminder, people here are not going to stop talking about High Elves just because you said that.

People who don't care about High Elves will probably end up playing them and people who don't want them at all don't really matter because including them does nothing to damage their gameplay, while keeping them out of the game has degraded the experience of thousands for years. So what's the problem?

So let's take what you're saying as serious. In my opinion 5000 forum requests is perhaps fair if we're counting unique opinions from those that care enough about the subject to post on the forums about it.
What can you match to this in equal parts? I can't think of any race that has been more coveted and sought after.
Add onto the fact that 5000
forum posts is a fraction of a fraction of the playerbase
in any aspect for any reason . Just because the majority of the playerbase isn't on the forums requesting high elves does not reflect the notion that they are not wanted.
I'm going to have a hard time believing that a vast majority of the playerbase would see the introduction of high elves as a negative for the game. I'm willing to bet that as far as Allied Races go, they'd be the most popular (due to restrictions that come with unlocking them).
Most players just go about playing the game, never letting loose on opinions on this platform because they simply just aren't that invested about any one subject to the point of coming here to write about it.

Eredar for the Horde is not as far fetched as you think. They
hate the Draenei with a burning passion and they are without a leader at the moment, I could see Sylvanas recruiting them without hesitation. While I support this idea, I know you're only joking. Serious requests for playable Eredar are unfortunately slim to none
The sad thing is there isn't one race on Alliance I like for my mage as they stand:
Humans: Boring, all look like meathead mouth breathers. I'm a mage: why does it look like I spend 4 hours a day at the gym?
Night Elves: I already have a Nelf druid and a nelf priest. Not into Nelfs as mages.
Gnome: The only gnome model I could tolerate was an old man looking one and I didn't really like it enough to stick with it. Any other model looked like a podling from Dark Crystal. Pass.
Goats and Lightforged goats: Good for pallies and priests and shammies but won't work for me and mages.
Dwarves and Werewolves: Pass and pass. Dwarves are my least favorite fantasy race and I'm not down for the casting spells while a werewolf.
I'm a self-professed elfaholic. I want High Elves. REALLY want High Elves. No other race I can even think of that would make me happy in the game being Alliance.
I've tried being a void elf mage but I just can't get into the skin colors/tmogs. I'm leveling a Velf for the heritage armor and then I'll maybe race change my main one last time and see if I can stick with it .... and hope that at some point they make some additional customization options for the skin tones.
it's really unfortunate that they are unwilling to see how much enjoyment so many people would get from adding High Elves to the game. Even sadder since their metric is supposedly how much people enjoy playing the game. Missing a real opportunity here for major player satisfaction.
