I miss that that as well, I was so upset when that was retconned. I wanted to be an angry vengeful Sin’dorei. Not the pompous powderpuff make up wearing princess that they made us. Yes I sucked fel from Demons and I enjoyed it, what happened to the good ole days.
Sure I can get behind that too.
Blood elves seem to be moving into a “we must seize control of our destiny” mindset. Maybe it’s because they are using way more Light right now, or maybe it’s the natural course of their authoritarian regime.
The part that catch my attention:
“The team is slowly rebuilding Azeroth piece by piece, and one of the biggest features of the expansion, Allied Races, is meant to give players a reason to go back out into the world and experience nostalgia.”
Is there a classic potential Allied Race that could make us go into many old and nostalgic locations of World of Warcraft to unite them and seek their help ?
Bless your heart.
I, for one, still fear they are gonna kill all the High Elves just to be done with it.
I think he just means the leveling process to get heritage armor.
Oh dammit i’m overthinking
can we get thanos to finish off the last of the high elves.
Whacks on Head, Bad Tal, do not be giving them Idea’s. Alliance will get High Elves, Horde will get light forged Blood Elves.
I mean that implies they are actually paying any attention to this thread, which I highly doubt babe.
I’m highly cynical about this whole thing let’s be real. As of now, my level of optimism is “at least they haven’t killed the High Elves off yet!”
Like at beeeeeest I’m hoping they add some of the SC to the VE’s to justify more numbers for them and perhaps expand customization. But that’s kinda it. Until WoW has a design change about “faction exclusivity” concerns, I doubt High Elves will be playable.
Maybe Half Elves tho.
I would be perfectly fine with renaming High Elves to Silver Elves if they took all the good lore with them and that was the only change.
The name is the least important aspect of High Elves. They could just go by as “Elves” for all that matters.
Whacks on Head a second time. Yes they are watching this thread, yes the Alliance will get High Elves. Horde will get Light Forged Blood Elves, they will have yellow skin tones to differentiate them from Blood Elves. They will be referred to as the Lemon Elves. They will be the bane of the Blueberries…
I feel we are at opposite ends of the spectrum here.
Will they make holes in teeth?
I try and look at it like Blizzard cannot be that hard headed. Faction exclusivity makes less and less sense with every expansion. They have already blurred so many lines. To not give the Alliance High Elves, would be a mistake. My thought are they need to set aside their pride, admit they were wrong, and do the right thing for the Alliance for a change.
I’d give them a new name and some kind of change, however small.
Maybe they find a way to cut off themselves from the Sunwell, freeing them to pursue a new path. Those who pass through this rite are renamed Silver Elves.
I still like the idea of a dying blue dragonflight imparting the last of its power into the Silver Elves. Perhaps they are aware that all the other elf groups have mighty powers at their disposal, and worry for their future without the help.
I dislike the idea because I want high elves to change in small ways. When you throw something “draconic” into them, people will go wild wanting horns, wings, scales or a draconic transformation in combat.
I don’t mean changing them into dragons, just imparting their frost magic as an enhancement. It could just end up being a power-up active racial.
