I would drop the ~250k gold in an instant. Also a good idea to log in and do it immediately because I kid you not we would likely see the US token price go up into the 300k-400k by the next day.
I mean, gating a playable race would naturally cause the token to greatly inflate in price. Probably would be a good time to buy some tokens if you want to invest in some gold!
We went from 16000 posts to 18000 in less than a week, which means at this rate we will reach 20k posts lock around 10 of April. We should start considering the repost.
My first suggestion is to rename it to " The Official High Elf Allied Race Discussion Thread" Some people donât seem to realize that this is the place to discuss High Elves and some of them still donât understand this is a Allied Race suggestion.

This is not the place to discuss posters in a negative light fyi. That can earn you of forum vaycay should it get out of hand.
You can talk about the trolling and the negativity but you canât name names.
How about âHigh Elf Allied Race Megathreadâ and ignore all the fluff?

I like this. Simple and to the point. Would also get those thinking about, "what do they mean High Elf Allied Race? Then it could lead those who donât know (mainly I assume horde only players) to research about Alliance High Elves if they so choose.
Also I really think at this point, it would be helpful in the new thread to not rehash tired and cyclical arguments.
Iâm sure thereâll be the obvious few who quickly try to meme up the new thread, but it would do good to link to old arguments and then continue the thread focusing on what youâd like to see from the race, should Blizzard decide to add them.
I saw some real nice posts a while back just discussing High Elves without any troll-y comments in sight for a while and that made the thread a joy to read.
Maybe even collaborate with the other AR threads and ask how they deal with the trolls that tend to pop in-and-out.
Main point: The discussion thread should be focused on the potential of the Alliance High Elves. Not that there canât be criticism, but the thread shouldnât be bogged down by the possibility of whether or not that can happen. Thereâs other threads for that.

Itâs good too, i just find strange that this one is called âUnofficialâ yet is the place dedicated to it. And also removing the âDiscussionâ is nice, it is supposed to talk about their implementation not their validity.
Some people actually believe we want Blood Elves to be a Neutral race under the name âHigh Elvesâ in the Alliance side, or that we want to have them name changing. Some people are just ignorant and donât know that we want those High Elves present in the Alliance as a Allied Race, clarifying what we want might help out. But there are others who are intentionally obtuse and those we should ignore.
Iâm really tired of people saying âBuTT THeY Ar AUlreaDY PLAYIABLE In ThE hoRDeâ.

Well I mean its âUnofficialâ in the fact that we donât have official permission from Blizzard or any Blue Posters chiming in helping (or hurting) us.
As far as preparing for the next thread goes, I think bookmarking important posts, especially those with links, images, and other good resources would be an excellent idea. Iâve already got several, but I need to go through and find some of the ones I forgot.

Drede is right, just call it High Elf Allied Race Thread, not Official, not Unofficial. Iâm going to pick the sum up i did to upgrade it, and i would love your list of High Elves along with Archmage galery.

I wonder why it was called âunofficialâ in the first place. Wasnât the point of this thread to consolidate support and discussions for playable high elves to one thread? Calling it âunofficialâ implies this is not the thread to be
âOfficialâ is when itâs made by Blizzard, so we went with âUnofficialâ.
But Drede is right, itâs better to not use any of those.

I originally called it âOfficialâ but there were a few claiming it canât be because it wasnât âposted by the bluesâ. Thought it was understandable so I changed it. Obviously everyone will have different opinions on the thread title though.

Iâm not sure why people were claiming no new warfronts. They just said they are focusing on heroic warfronts in 8.2.
Reasons and options. to make Alliances High Elves a Playable Race on the Alliance, Discussion.
Disclaimer: This is not a discussion on whether or not they should be made a playable race. This is a discussion on how they can become a playable race. A discussion on how to differentiate them, yet still allow them to remain the Race many are asking for. If you are against Playable High Elves for the Alliance faction. Then this is not a discussion for you.
I think it best to write is as Alliance High Elves, just to avoid the whole High Elves are already playable, theyâre now called Blood Elves headache that is surely to follow.
Also I want to put it out there, I support Playable High Elves for the Alliance. I do not support being told that Blood Elves are not the continuation of Quelâdorei lore and beliefs. We are not the Continuation of Alliance High Elf beliefs and lore. That to me is something that belong to the Alliance High Elves and has since Warcraft II. We are the Legacy and the lore carriers of the Original Quelâdorei, the ones that were exiled from their homeland.
I think the problem is, I see Quelâdorei as the ones who would forsake all for arcane magic. They are the ones that will do all that is necessary to become strong, even if through questionable means. They might not carry on Alliance High Elf tradition, but the do carry on The core beliefs of the original Quelâdorei. I get irked every time I see the, Blood Elves abandoned Quelâdorei lore and traditions. Seeing that is almost as bad as Fyreâs Head Canon interpretations of High Elven Lore
