The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

and the title has nothing to do with originality either. It is an established military rank.

tbf, shes made herself ranger general of like 12 elves

who prob didnt survive legion and thats why they are nowhere to be found in BFA while void elves are front and center in leading assaults in zandalar

I mean, seeing as the whole reason Sylvanas had the position in the first place was that it was bound to the defense of Quel’thalas, and Vereesa and the Silver Covenant explicitly aren’t bound to Quel’thalas, doesn’t seem like a copy paste in anything but the title, which is the single most obvious archer leader title around.

tbf, you’re both speaking in terms of logic and that is NOT the language of the anti-helfer.

tbf

tbf, Velen and Khadgar haven’t been seen in BfA either.

tbf, are they dead too?

She’s literally seen in the Three Sisters comic post-Legion. Either stop trolling, or educate yourself on the lore before coming here.

tbf, Halduron Brightwing is the ranger general of silvermoon. home of the high elves that have a future and where the VAST majority are

i know shes not dead. but we havent see any alliance high elves besides flavor NPCs keeping portals open for the alliance

Besides the multiple high elves we’ve seen in BfA, we haven’t seen any high elves in BfA?

tbf, that was another weak headcanon statement.

tbf, I actually laugh when I read your posts now and hope you continue posting

tbf, that’s NOT actually a compliment

The anti-helfers just make a lot of noise and alternative canon. High elves exist in WOW canon as a separate and distinct entity and are a part of the Alliance.

I don’t mind debating the merits of playable Alliance high elves, but debating whether high elves exist or not in-game is kind of like saying that pandaren don’t exist because we haven’t seen as much of them since Pandaria.

Is this source from, 2004? Let’s list what happened after that shall we?
The Burning Crusade, 2007, High Elves lived together with other Alliance Races in Allerian Stronghold, they were part of the Alliance forces that ventured into Draenor during the Second War, this was not a small deal.
Wrath of the Lich King, 2008, High Elves were the main representatives of the Alliance in Dalaran and in the Argent Tournament, there are High Elves leading Alliance forces in Dragonblight, specifically defending the Ruby Sanctum and Wintergarde.
Cataclysm, 2010, there was High Elf leading a pack of Night Elf Sentinels in Stonetalon despite people saying High Elves and Night Elves don’t trust each other. High Elves were the official Alliance representatives in Zul’aman.
Mists of Pandaria, 2012, High Elves being once again the main Alliance force, this time in the Isle of Thunder, Kirin Tor is officially part of the Alliance.
Warlords of Draenor, 2014, Kirin tor was officially part of the Alliance at that time.
Legion, 2016, High Elves took a important role in the Hunter Class Hall campaign, in Suramar and in Argus. Alleria, considered as a hero among the Alliance since the Second War, finally returned.
Battle for Azeroth, 2018, a High Elf keep the portal network between Boralus and Arathi, High Elves have a important role in the Warfront, Silver Covenant mages maintain the portal to Dalaran in Stormwind while a High Elf is trusted to train mages from all the races of the Alliance.

Wow look how mistrusted they are … So much the Alliance trust them to do some of their most important operations and activities, oh wait…
It seems this source didn’t aged well.

tbf, Portal keeper, Jaina’s angels, High elves on Island Expeditions … but nope. JUST Portal keepers.

tbf, they’re probably Blood Elf spies wearing contacts or Void Elves in full body make up (cause my headcanon is as strong as anyone’s).

tbf, did Fyre get banned on Fyre for trolling? Should I switch to using all my trolling flags for Zootopia now?

tbf, the lore and devs have stated that high elves are blood elves now

and alliance high elves are not distinct enough from blood elves to be considered seriously for AR. thats why they came up with void elves

Good list, I count 175, plus or minus a few. And that’s probably not even a fully complete list.

Yeah, I don’t want to use the FULL list since she said “Silver Covenant.” The list is still a WIP as well.

That is incorrect and does not reflect conditions within the game.

You’re doing a superb job of making the anti-HElfer side of the argument look utterly absurd.

Keep it up.

Yea, screw you Talanas Windrunner! How dare you copy Sylvanas’s Ranger General title. You too Lireesa Windrunner! Only Sylvanas can have it.

Not like they’re family or anything, with multiple people taking up that prestigious rank..

Or, as if the Silver Covanent completely distanced themselves off from Silvermoon and are a seperate entity to the Blood Elven Farstriders…

It’s a Military rank. Seriously. By all means can be changed later if she becomes a unified leader of the remaining High Elves, such as those from Quel’Danil, Allerian, Stormwind, Dalarn and of course Silver Covanent.
