The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

I doubt even Derek Zoolander could descend to the level of obtuseness that is displayed by some (and their alts).

Though I can see Derek Zoolander getting stuck on a merry-go-round unable to get off … the same as the trolls just go round and round with their circular arguments.

Wait … what time is it? Is it time for a “faction identity!” argument or a tried and true “But there aren’t enough of them!!” LOL.

Why stand in their way?

Ka … ka … cause … THEIR MODELS! DADDY ION, PLEASE DON’T TAKE THEIR MODELS! Their lives are apparently meaningless without their pixels!!! Oh woe and cruel life …

Guys, no need to taunt others. This is a break of forum rules.

I mean i’d rather not have my faction leader killed off every expansion.

I think its more that they wanted to add belfs to alliance but decided to add a bit of flavor to them so that the only difference is eye color. Also, the Alliance already accept warlocks, im sure they don’t have any problem with void elfs.

Yeah but there’s a difference between demons and the void which could turn you absolutely insane. Mostly due to the fact the void making the individual unpredictable, i certainly wouldn’t want to be a soldier and work with an individual who could go insane at any second because of all the voices inside of his head. I’d rather work with someone who’d have my back 100% and the Void makes it impossible for that reassurance. What makes it worse, is the Void Elves were previous Blood Elves, so it would be hard to trust them from the get go.

tbf, none of the alliance races trust the alliance high/blood elves. especially the night elves

You are starting to entertain me

Gotta love the models argument when they have already been given to the alliance. It happened. Void elves are a thing already. If they are given pink skin color, his paper thin argument falls apart completely. And I hope they do give it to void elves so this patchy argument gets dismissed.

tbf, they wont. it makes no sense. they are void beings. they bleed blue thats why their skin color is blue. they cant turn off the void like shadow priests

The Alliance welcomed the void elves into their ranks and the Silver Covenant is an important component of the Alliance. I think that you may be overstating the trust issues. Any high elves existing in Azeroth in the present are solidly a apart of the Alliance.

I never quite understood why the blood elves went to the Horde lore-wise; I understand completely why Blizz put them there IRL.

no they arent. they are mistrusted by the alliance races. the night elves especially. thats why they are mostly in dalaran and only jaina really trusts them enough

Lol, sure. “Let’s just invite people we don’t trust to our wedding Malfurion”. Vereesa Windrunner, the Ranger General of the Silver Covanent, a military faction of High Elves shouldn’t have then been at Tyrande Whisperwind’s wedding to Malfurion Stormrage then. They also shouldn’t be working together as they did in Wrath where a High Elf literally commands some Alliance forces including Night Elves then nor should of worked together in Suramar.

Plus tbh I find it hilarious when you say “High/Blood Elves” but have previously stated you find High Elves “bland” and “Uninteresting” considering you group High Elves and Blood Elves as the same thing.

tbf, people who don’t know anything about lore reeeeeeeally need to stop talking.

exactly. the new ankowen or whatever their name is seem like deep sea jinyu that will allow for a lot more customization than jinyu would.

I would say it is a done deal if they have distinct male and female versions.

tbf, when one talks out of ones posterior and scrambles for arguments that somehow justify it’s inept understanding of lore and the lore they themselves make up, one WILL inevitably end up contradicting themselves.

shes so unoriginal. literally copy pasted sylvanas’ Ranger General of Silvermoon title and the whole silvermoon ranger theme

tbf, she IS Sylvanas’s sister and upholds the Quel’dorei traditions that the Blood Elves left behind.

tbf, It actually makes sense that she’s Ranger General. In fact, kind of makes her the OPPOSITE of unoriginal considering that she’s the ONLY Ranger General of the Quel’dorei.

tbf, that was one of your weakest arguments yet.

That is headcanon, not actual canon. I’ve never seen anything in the official lore to suggest that high elves are mistrusted by the rest of the Alliance, and where the void elves were welcomed in with open arms I would say that the high elves never had their position in doubt. And if they do live in Dalaran it is only because they can’t go back home (although apparently they are allowed to visit to partake in the Sunwell).
