Hey I play a Panda my opinion means nothing judging cool races lol. I like void elves they are an interesting idea but they are doing a bad job at introducing them.

If high elves do become playable, I’m probably only gonna race change my main. I’m not gonna do the same to my rogue. I think he’s fine as a Void elf. It fits him.

I don’t know, maybe i play a Void Elf because it’s the closest thing to a High Elf in the game or because their models are nice. Nobody plays this race because they like their lore, many just play them pretending to be something else.

It’s not that hard to happen, it’s not like we are asking for Blizzard to make playable naga or something absurd like that. They are a perfect example of what a Allied Race is, and if the devs are taking account on feedback and interest from the playerbase, they will seriously consider them. I just think it’s impossible to happen in BfA, but i would say it’s likely in the next expansion.

When deciding on Allied Races, why did you choose Void Elves, when High Elves seemed a much more organic (and popular) choice?

I’m here, aren’t I? Your favorite opposition. It’s not purely poking fun (and aside was made in response to Nyshant).

Bladinas, Vexander, Lavinya, Mowachassa, Alamara, Pronrya, etc.

The fact is a large swath of you play, and represent yourselves as Void Elves on the forums, for whatever reason.

And yet many of you dislike them, play them because to you they are “closest to a High Elf” (which I also find silly, aside from just being Alliance they’re as far apart as you get), or some even admittedly haterolling one just for the model while hoping High Elves happen.

If you’re trying to send a message that Void Elves were not what you want, many of you are doing it in a very strange way.

I don’t tell the restaurant I frequent that I want them to carry Vanilla Coke by buying them out of their Grape Fanta.

You’re not “sticking it” to anyone by paying your sub or giving them a MAU, especially not filed under a metric of Void Elf.

If Blizzard cared that much about race popularity, you’d think Silvermoon would be the Horde capital, with there being over twice as many Blood Elves as there are Orcs.

Yeah. If player population mattered the Horde story would be about Blood Elves with Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, etc. as supporting actors.

Whenever the opposition ever says there are like 10 people bumping this thread I always point this out. The vast majority of people don’t want to get in an endless argument.

Since I’m all, “Somebody is fighting with words on the internet?!? I’ll be right there.” you don’t see more posters because they don’t have to post.

Blizzard’s been pretty clear that for players, the Blood Elves are the high elf.

You’re trying to argue the Vanilla Coke I gave you isn’t what you asked for because I poured it in a red glass instead of a blue one.
