I’ll never understand why it had to be a suicide mission if Void Elves were there. Could’ve just used Void Portals to evacuate people.

Void Elf development is welcome, they already show their loyalty and valor and proved to be careful enough. What i want to see in the future is them trying to find a way to free themselves from the whispers and purify from the corruption while still being Ren’dorei, touched by a uncorrupted void, if this exists. We may find a way to do it with all the void and old god thematic taking the central field on the narrative.

If Void Elves are going to stay within the Alliance then they need to be unique enough and also free from the whispers too if they claim that the void can make to save life.
Right now within the Rift there really isn’t any unique Buildings nor Banners of any kind.

Truth be told, I’ve rather lost any expectations of a good story regarding the void elves. It’s been a whole year and they’ve done nothing particularly interesting. I just don’t care about Umbric, there’s no other void elf as a counterpart to him, Alleria is non-existant, and these elves will probably cause huge damage to the Alliance.

Heck Umbric doesn’t have anything interesting in him other than He’s just a Magister wanting to study the Void to protect Quel’thalas. Nothing like a True Different Kael’thas nor Aethas in general. He just helped the Alliance out rather than let’s say have some unique development in him.
Only Development he got was just stopping Goblins from mining up Azerite, and just being there. Yea I know he did summon Void undead Dinosaurs and open up void rifts to stuck horde troops up but really that’s basically it.
Also the Void Elves really don’t have any different characters other than just Kael’thas 2.0 and Alleria. I mean where’s the rest of other unique cast of Void Elf Outcasts. They have been builded up to be this great amazing unique elven race within the Alliance that is better than High Elves. Yet they really don’t offer much.

Yes. They could at least have introduced a few more void elves so we could see different opinions on their condition.

They already said void elves would have more importance coming up so it’s not like they really needed a huge deal here, and shows they’re still into using them (and the lightforged…though going to miss Bladmaster Telaamon due to him being a WoT reference,) to help here and there.
Much more interesting than angsty Vereesa flip flopping every few seconds.
You have no idea what character depth is. Vereesa is way better than Umbric in every way. She has family, loved ones, personal tragedies, grudges and, despite just being a “normal” non-magical person, has the burden of leadership.
Umbric,. at least for now, is just some random mage without any background casting void spells.

Yea. I mean atleast the Nightborne spite the fact they’re another Blue Skin Elf Race. Have Characters we already know. Like Thalyssra, Oculeth, Valtrois, and etc.
Void Elves only have like what? One Void Elf Character and there’s none.
I mean atleast there’s High Elf Characters that we know like Vereesa, Ari, Courier Larkspur, Auric Sunchaser, and etc.

She’s the “maybe I’ll join the Horde even though I had kids, lulz” kinda flippant and pointless side character. She literally does nothing in game except stand there and glower for story fodder that’s being replaced.
She’s a Royal Friend to Jaina Proudmoore, She helped Rhonin and Falstad take down Deathwing and the Orcish Horde in Grim Batol, She aided the Alliance during the Scourge War and Mists, She still has some respect for Farstriders atleast with Halduron, She even aided the Hunters during the War Campaign against the Legion and even save this world from the legion together with Alleria and Heroes of the Azeroth.

Atleast Vereesa has lore and a personality than boring Blueberry Kael’thas.
You just described Umbric. He’s the same thing. Adds nothing to the story other than being a pointless character to sell forced blue skin races like Void Elves. Nothing unique or anything to get myself interested to him since he doesn’t offer anything from the past nor now.

We see vereesa as having a distinct personality about her and that has evolved and influenced what she has done over the years.
