Which of course kind of sucks. Because if Void Elves did had High Elf Options rather than let’s say the Actual High Elf Race and Half Elf Race too. Then pretty much Blizzard threw away any originally in the Alliance in terms of Color Skin Elven races that isn’t Blue Skin or Purple.
Just thinking about the Silver Covenant turning into Void Elves while having a Two Form Option that you can’t stay as Pure High Elf is probably going to be insulting enough.
Honestly if they just said that continued Void usage makes you kinda ashy, that is justification enough for making new Void Elves that wouldn’t look blueberried -as the process is different- nor they looked exactly like blood elves -with less saturated hair and skin colors-

Slightly off topic, slightly on topic, but is anyone else a bit miffed that in 8.1.5, if you want the Gift of N’Zoth buff removed you have to go to Brother Pike for it?
Why wouldn’t Umbric be able to remove it? Or heck, maybe a new Void Elf? Imagine that. A chance to introduce a second Void Elf character, maybe a Priest who knows how to remove the corrupting influence of void-based magics from others, thus making her one of the few able to remove this, “Gift?”
It’s like Blizzard is intentionally going out of their way to make sure the Void Elves never actually FIGHT the Void in any way, shape, or form. They’d have been perfect to introduce Alliance players to Uldir, but nope.
I get wanting to give other races a chance to shine, but at the same time, Void Elves were introduced with nothing. Brother Pike doesn’t even use the Kul Tiran model so it’s not like he’s doing much for Kul Tiran players in that regards. Actually, it’s kind of glaring how all of the major Kul Tiran characters all use the REGULAR Human model.

It’s simple: Blizzard has no idea of what to do with void elves. Whenever something regarding the Void appears, no void elves are anywhere near to help.

That or Void Elves are extra susceptible to the Void, and as a result, will never face it, meaning all this speculation about them heading a Void Expansion is bologna.

That would be against their established lore. Their only feature is that they mastered the Void. Not being good at that would make them even worse.
G’huun seemed to be a lot more about blood and disease than void. Only Mythrax and Zek’voz actively used it, I think.
While that may be the case, the Old Gods and their minions have always been a direct manifestation of both the power, and the terrifying corruptive will and malevolence of the Void Lords. If the Void Elves are here to fight against the Void and lead the Alliance in that fight, then why have they been avoiding all contact with the Old Gods so far?
It seems negligent or fishy, and while I’m inclined to think it could be negligence out of a desire to make sure all races and not JUST the Void Elves get screen time and development, the reality is that you don’t put a square peg into a round hole. Races should be participating in events most suited to them, and this has long been a complaint of players.
As an example, in Northrend there were many Horde players who were displeased by how predominant the Orcs were in the battle against the Lich King, when the Forsaken race’s entire storyline was steeped in it, as well as that of the Blood Elves.
I suppose Nyalotha or wherever we go face N’Zoth after Azshara would be a good place to give both Void Elves and Lightforged Draenei some screentime. And maybe an explanation as to why the Vindicaar hasn’t reduced Orgrimmar to ash yet.
I’m banking on reduced/limited/depleted Argunite stores.
I personally love the following;

I like their skin tones too, not the same as a High Elf, but they still exude life as opposed to being all blue/purple. I also like the idea of blonde hair with violet towards the end.

One of the main problems with the “Normal” Skin for Void Elves is that everything has to match each other.
So any new Skin/Hair has to match the old Skin/Hair.
Here’s Selesnya’s pics:

ANd I need to point out that even official art has a better skin color that’s unavailable to players:
The thing with the in-game skins is that they are too bluish, and blue feels cold, dead. All this art are nice blend of white and purplish. Purple is a warmer color than blue, and white is neutral.
But it can be done, for sure.

I’ve been noticing this recently, asking myself. Why those artworks make them feel so much better than what we’ve in the game?
Checking ingame, and that’s true, there’s almost no shades of purple.
That’s a shame =/

Checking around the internet, found another example of a “normal-ish” void elf:
I think the author wanted to make it look like a high elf, but ended up with an unnatural skin color that ranges between normal skin and purple plus bege (“corrupted blonde”) hair, both of which would be great on a void elf.
I think the mods were attracted by the big number of images we are posting lately and found something wrong in Talendrion’s post.
But this means the mods have checked around what we are posting. Cool.

Oooo is that a mod people can download that changes Void Elves into High Elves?
If there is such a mod, it would be against the TOA to use it.

If Void Elves looked more like that than just being same dull color scheme of Blue/Purple Skin Elves. Then maybe Void Elves wouldn’t be hated as of right now. In fact they would suck less if they had more look unique color schemes than full on blue and purple all the time.
Through I am still worried about the idea of Pure White Skin Options for Void Elves since you can’t stay as a actual high elf and when just go back to being Blue again.
Like I said before, I don’t think adding high elf skin and hair options would be good for the void elves at all. If that’s the case, better to give us proper high elves instead.
But void elves could have a greater range of skin and hair colors. A few (2-3) “almost normal” skin colors would be awesome. They should still have something odd about them. These could represent “second generation” void elves, ones that weren’t caught in the ethereal trap and have less void influence.
Were it up to me, I’d add 3 skin colors: white-light purple, light flesh-purple and light flesh-pale blue, as well as 3 hair colors: dark red, bege and silver-blue.
