The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

How about… no?

They most likely won’t but it’s not worth much getting worked up over in the long run.

Blood elves are it and then Alliance were given void elves, it’s already pretty much a done deal

The matter of them being traitors or not is subjective at this point, since blizzard didn’t clarify anything about it. If they are traitors that care only about power or just people trying to find a way to empower quel’thalas defences is up to the player. I’m more with the second one, because time and time again blizzard is showing to us that the light isn’t pure good anymore, and the void isn’t exacly pure evil.

People that uses dark powers such as necromancy, fel and void can’t be labbeled as bad guys at this point as long as they fight for good, such as the warlocks, death knights and shadow priests in legion.
Hard to me to treat Void Elves as just traitos because they got exiled from their homeland, just because they might possess a treat to the light infused (corrupted) sunwell. They were turned into what they are against their will in telogrus, and trust me, they do have good reasons to leave the Horde and side with the Alliance. They aren’t supposed to be complacent with the current state of the Horde just because they are Blood Elves, and Blood Elves are a Horde race. I hope you get what i’m trying to say.

As for Varessa and the Quel’dorei, is understandable that they want to find new forms of power, as a millitary group anything that prove to be useful will help, but why it have to be the void? It feels uncharacteristic to me to them to grasp into dark energies, some of them even get exiled from silvermoon because they didn’t aprove controversial practices such as the use of fel and draining living creatures. One of the things that set apart the Quel’dorei from the Sin’dorei are exacly those different views upon suspicious forms of power.

Oh, the only difference you can see are the blue eyes? Looks like you are new to the debate then. Want some enlightenment?

The first thing to observe is that he is altposting, not a good signal.

Most of his posts is him whining about something of alliance players interest, notably claiming alliance bias (??) by blizzard devs after the 30% warmode bonus. It feels like he only plays horde, so i can get why he can’t se high elves aside from the blue eyes and the Alliance shouln’t have them, because how dare blizzard intend to give what Alliance players want, how dare Alliance players want have fun and feel a bit of satisfaction once in a while.

Moving on.

But High Elves are a thing. Only thing I got from the Blood Elf Heritage Armor is that it points out that the Elves who stayed in Quel’thalas are Blood Elves not pure High Elves.

No people like myself are not going to accept another boring blue skin elf since the Alliance already has too many Dark Elf Theme Blueberries. I think you Antis/Diehard Blood Fanboys need to realize that forcing people to play your or another generic blue skin elf isn’t good gameplay nor healthy for the Game at all. I don’t care if you guys cry and complain that Alliance gets a original color skin elf that they should deserve rather than being mock and insulted by Blizzard and you guys. Even after the Void Elves were release people still hated them and still keep asking/criticizing Blizzard’s poor directions.

I wouldn’t even care if you left the game and cry over the Alliance getting another Thalassian Model race. Because at the end of the day it isn’t just the model that people are after its the story/lore and original elven race that matters. I’ll still play the game even more when High Elves are released.

The Game is better off without you toxic entitled spoiled players that likes to ruin the game out of something that meaningful to the Story of the Factions and what made Warcraft Iconic.

How about you get over people requesting them? This doesn’t involve you

Why do you guys bother with those people rofl… someone who randomly drops one-liners is not interested in discussion.

Because I play the game as well? There’s already 2 high elf splintered factions in the game. That’s like horde saying “There needs to be ice trolls in the game. Basically they look exactly like normal trolls but they have blue eyes and blue or white skin!”

I suggest you read more into why people want High Elves.

Oh sorry, I forgot they ALSO have tattoos that are blue. Silly me.

Glad you figured it out!

That’s why I’m so scared when people start mentioning Half Elves, I can see Blizzard doing something completely Friggen ridiculous to make their own interpretations and we will end up with a hobbit version of WoW…

We need to be simple, clear and direct, Quel’dorei High Elves, Silver Covenant/ High Vale, can’t stuff that up, no mis-interpretation. They still on the Alliance, still Loyal.

I said it once and I’ll say it again, my little heart cant take another one of Blizzards compromises .

We waited 14 years already we shouldn’t have to be getting a compromise…

exactly. Quite honestly the fact we even debate adding them to the game or not is ridiculous in itself. Any sane person can see that high elves are part of the alliance. If they are part of the faction and it is not a 1 off special case I see no reason not to let that race be playable for them.

On the anti-he thread now: “High Elves don’t work because the devs said so”.

The same devs that are responsible for the horrendous state that the game is right now btw. The same devs that are so out of touch with the community that they basically united horde and alliance players on hating them. The same devs that call a compromise to work on allied races that the players didn’t asked for.

I would like to point out that it was only one dev who said no. Who knows for certain how many of the other devs would like High Elves added?

WoW. I gotta say. It looks good. Through its already taken by the Blood Elves.

Only option we have for Heritage Armor Set for High Elves is the Ranger Theme one or maybe Half Elf Magister One but that was already taken by Void Elves even through the Helmet and Chest isn’t good.

Most of the Alliance ones probably, the ones that build alliance zones, storylines and add High Elf NPCs in the game to show their presence in the faction, but couldn’t quite make them playable because they are not allowed by the high command, composed mostly by horde enthusiasts.
