The true enemy to both WoW and IRL is Elitism/Extremism

The others you speak of are billionaires.

They contribute nothing and hoard their money.

why do people who will never raid at the world first level concern themselves with what world first guilds do?

how much gold limit spends on the world first race means nothing to me, as an average middle of the road mythic raider.

it means even less to you, as a guy who doesn’t raid because he can’t solo queue.

The thing is that you can’t really fix the problem short of redesigning how the game works entirely, which may not be for the better.

Ever since 2004(and before that in other games), players have tried to answer the question “How do I know this person who wants into my group wont be dead weight?”.

Inspection by the bank, gearscore, ilvl, linking achievements, raider io, etc. are all just different ways of answering that question. You’re not going to stop people from not wanting to waste their time, even if some people take things to an extreme.

The only way to really get around it would be to bypass it so you just don’t need to group up anymore, which while I wouldn’t mind seeing some solo progression into the higher gear levels raids and dungeons should always be group content as they always have been.

The other option would be to make everything queued content and make it brain dead easy like LFR is, but that would make it boring as hell.

The reason being it’s an MMO that has an endgame focus on group content. That’s how they want you to get rewards. That’s how MMOs have all handled the best rewards.

No, the reason is this is a multiplayer game. You should get the best rewards by doing group content.

And they don’t owe you or me anything

LFR is limited to one difficulty, and it’s sad.

People like you defend the game dying, saying “queueing is inferior”, and wonder why the Surprised Pikachu Face meme.

OP said that people tell him he needs to spend 300 mill for his guild.
He then links an article where the uppest, top-extreme most outlier of cases talks about spending this amount for a very specific, highest of ends purpose and thinks he made a poiont.
Youre delusional if you think this is a good argument.

Not sure if troll or people are really this far gone.

was your guild full of elitists just trying to keep you down?

So you’re just going to ignore rio like it doesn’t exist because it’s more convenient to insult me.

The community has made getting into a guild like a psychology test and job application, you trust a third party website with made up calculations to judge if people are worth playing with, we’ve shown that people are abusing this website to gatekeep people SO THEY CAN SELL RUNS to people who can’t get in…

and your asinine self is ok with this.

Yeah I don’t want to hear from you ever again.

It isn’t about elitism. It’s about not doing progression on bosses you have on farm. My guild personally is very welcoming of players who want to get better. We’ve trained up and geared up a lot people, myself included, so we could take on hard content. What we, and many others, don’t do without getting paid is carry dead weight who have no interest in bettering themselves while still wanting to get the best gear and do the hardest content. It’s disrespectful to the 19 other people who have put in that effort to expect to be carried.

Because it is.

The queue has to be designed so the lowest common denominator can complete the content.

The game was re-designed to favor Elitists. I know for certain if Classic Wrath was a thing, I’d be playing that over this.

I will give you a heart because it’s boring right now.

WoW is not real life. Please stop confusing the two. That having been said, if you can make six figures working for a corporation, I highly recommend that you do so. I’m not sure what your point is there. Be advised, though, that there’s nothing “magical” about the hiring process or the salary negotiation. It’s much easier said than done.

As for WoW, it’s a pay to play game, and given that they’re not offering a rewarding experience that suits your needs, your best bet is to unsubscribe and find a different game to play. Don’t be one of these people who “show Blizzard” by cancelling their sub and purchasing game time to retain posting privileges. Simply walk away and let it go.

It’s true

Anyone can do it. It does take effort however.

Btw making 6 figs is way harder than making a raid group together.

The US has the most progressive tax system in the world (progressive meaning higher margins paid at the top). What do you want? A salary cap where 100% goes to taxes after you make a certain a mount?

#whoisjohngalt

You have bought into it. That’s fine. I don’t want to encourage people to stop feeling special.

However, you ignored the content of the rest of my comment. The largest portion of WoW, by far, is designed for the solo player. Yes, there are others in the world doing their own quests, their own professions, their own WQs, their own pet and toy and mount collections. That’s what makes it MMO. “Massively muliplayer online.” They’re in the same world doing these solo activities.

Hmm, what can you do to change that? Because you keep ignoring what I wanted in #SoloQueue , so, what can you do?

Because there’s nothing wrong with io. It’s a tool. It’s information.

Nope I’m in a heroic raiding guild and all I had to do was say “hey I’m interested in your guild and raiding heroic”. Boom just like that I’m 10/10 normal and 4/10 heroic.

Those aren’t made up. All io does is provide armory info in game. That’s all. You seem to be confused on this.

Where is your proof?

LOL

Yea I bought into it when I started playing this game in '07.

There’s your solo content. What is it you’re complaining about?

Tens of millions were jobless. Many news articles point this out.

It’s getting to the point the poor are feeling oppressed by the elite. Queue the Second Civil War: French Revolution Boogaloo.
