In WoW: “Make your own group, join a guild, then the problem magically disappears!”

IRL: “Make your own business, join a corporation, and be magically paid six figures or more!”

Honestly, it’s nothing but snake oil by this point. Give me my UBI IRL and my #SoloQueue in WoW.

In WoW: 300 million went into Mythic Castle Nathria by one guild. One guild. And you are telling me I should make and spend that much on a guild of my own? No thanks. Same with making my own groups. Been there, done that.

IRL: Scams left and right in a bid to seek financial independence, and I can’t seem to find a way out of the rat race no matter how hard I try. Where is the “EZ Business Form” some of you claim exists? Where I can just print up a business that magically makes me six or more figures and have both customer and employee respect me? Doesn’t exist. And if I tried those scams, straight to the slammer I go.

So… maybe we should strip away power from the root problem that’s causing half-baked ideas like “making my own group/guild/business/scam”?

It will happen eventually, due to automation and artificial intelligence, would be nice if it happened sooner though.

but it does. I can attest to this. at the start of Shadowlands I had a raider.io score of 0… but then i got my first M+ key and immediately posted my own groups for M+, and before I knew it, I am now almost 1.2k io

Same goes with raiding, at the start of Shadowlands, I had no Castle Nathria kills, no Normal clear, and No Heroic clears nor an AOTC achievement… But can you believe it!? I did exactly what I did for m+ but for Castle Nathria… I posted a group in group finder, people joined up, and soon I was 10/10N and 10/10H and even got AOTC through pugging.

Works like a charm!

p.s. not only did my effort pay off, but it also landed me a spot in a guild a week ago, so now I can start clearing Mythic Castle Nathria! Just goes to show that putting in the minimal effort to post your own groups really does pay off!

Yes. I’m a part of a corporation and own my own apartment (well nearly, 100k to go).

Ingame the effort you need to put in to group and gear up is minimal to any effort you’d do in real life.

I am however with you in the dissatisfaction of SL. I had the sad news today that we will likely stop after we get AoTC as a guild but the enemy here is the way the content has been delivered. They made the game too disinteresing for the wider audience because they tried to combine BfA and Legion and Classic.

I am the living proof that anyone can do it. there is no barrier stopping anyone else from doing the same except themselves.

No different than someone’s whose into fitness and being in shape and healthy and someone wishing they too were fit… only thing that’s stopping them is themselves as anyone can begin exercising and/or caring for their health.

I bet as well. Any time I voice my dissatisfaction, either as this toon or as my DH, it’s a flag. And I legit don’t care if extremists insist my throat be slit. They are in power, it would not look nice for them on the news if they killed me.

FFXIV AI is only the first time u run the dungeon , but its cool because FFXIV ask u to do dungeons for the main the story , with bots u dont have to queue and u can learn the dungeon at your own pace

elitism is going to happen in a pug enviroment, to avoid that going with friends/guild is the only solution , try to pug m+ as “insert non wanted spec” 1h and no invite …with friends/guild u dont need score ilvl or being meta spec
