"Hello? Yes, I’d like to purchase some gold please "
“What character will I be on?”
“…”
"Uhh, Wirtt-Mankrik "
No, I have opted to spend virtual gold that I didn’t spend a dime on. I have plenty to throw around thanks to the many years of boxing.
I don’t care. I’m not a humble person. I’m not here to worry about first world, nor thrid world problems. This doesn’t even fit on a video game forum.
I never claimed to speak for anyone else, you did though.
There are very few boxers left, especially this expansion.
True, we have our rich people problems to worry about, right?
It doesn’t. You do you and I’ll do me.
You make it out like you know so much about the evils of boxing but you don’t know the most basic mechanics of it?
They do think so, actually. Blizzard has stated numerous times that the forum makes up only a very small percentage of the actual player-base, else I wouldn’t make such a claim.
Lol, that would get nowhere, I don’t play this character anymore
Money was still spent, you didn’t magically create value out of nothing.
I refuse the argument that because you paid gold, no money was spent. Money was spent, and you fueled that exchanged. It’s not meaningfully removed enough.
It’s like someone saying they didn’t kill someone because they provided the resources, but didn’t do it themselves, and it’s the other guy that did it. That’s technically true, but logistically you both are at fault.
In this case you’re both paying, whether you like it or not.
You don’t have to care.
I can certainly judge you on that basis though. Ignoring it doesn’t mean much for either of us, but I’ll still do it. You’ve provided no reason I shouldn’t, and in fact argued that I can do so with impunity.
No, I didn’t. I talked about the community, I talked about various groups, but I never said I spoke for any of them.
Please keep on actual track.
Which, at least for me and most people I’ve talked to, is the greatest win we’ve had on this front in ages.
Make no mistake, I don’t hate you Yesuna. I do hate the way you play and how it impacts the game, though. If removing that playstyle means you leaving, then I’m going to miss you in my own way, but I’m not going to pretend like it’s a meaningful loss to me.
Again, I don’t hate you, but you do play in a way that I consider problematic. So I’m not going to cry if you can’t play.
I do, however, hope that things can settle in a way that you can maybe play the one account and actually enjoy the game, rather than abuse the game enough to play it.
Maybe? I guess?
I eat well enough, but WoW is the first on the chopping block when I’m not able to fund things. I’m certainly not in a place where I can just throw money at stuff cause I’m amused by it. WoW has usually been pleasing enough to justify, but I haven’t purchased a new single-player game in more than half a year if I recall, and my single-player library is massive from years I had actual money.
I’m definitely not in “rich people problems” territory right now.
Your play might not, but the farmers absolutely do.
Again, a small number doesn’t mean it’s not representative numbers. In fact Blizzard has never said that specifically at all.
Which is uniquely interesting.
Nice, made me laugh with that one.
As well as, use they’re gold to pay for their subs. So multi-boxing isn’t costing them a monthly sub.
Like I said before I’m not going into too much detail because of the forum rules so I’ll just repeat what I already said:
- He stopped using software (ISBoxer) in Oct or Nov when Blizzard announced it wasn’t allowed.
- He’s never used any special hardware. He has a computer, keyboard and mouse. All standard.
- He had minimal addons. DBM, Bagnon, RaiderIO, Vudo. That was it.
- He never pvp’d or bought his own auctions to mess with prices.
I’m not posting this to scream my husband’s innocence because he’s done with this game forever even though he didn’t get a lifetime vacation. I’m posting this because I’m telling you I know for a fact he was 100% innocent and was actioned anyways. To all the remaining MB out there, I would just be careful and if I knew another MB personally, I would strongly encourage them to stop if they cared about their account.
It is hilarious comments like this one that keep me coming to this forum even though a lot of the discussions here are terribly annoying.
Too bad this thread/comment couldn’t have been posted on May the 4th!
Someone has to pay $20 for that token, so it is costing them something. It will probably crash the price of tokens and sales will drop or some gold sales will move back to the black market where gold is cheaper.
Bye cheap mats on AH. As someone who is the mats supplier for a guild I have mixed feelings about this.
Unfortunate for the very few who invested in a multi boxing setup. But fair is fair, I agree with this decision.
That token is still $20 Blizzard will be out. Remember the less tokens being purchased, the less that will be bought. In this way Blizzard is actually losing more money as the using a token costs $5 more than a monthly subscription would.
Either way, they are losing money but in the end that might not be a bad thing. This game has a horrible problem with botting and that is the target they should have been focused upon. Multiboxing is a drop in the bucket compared to that problem and those players won’t give a damn about this policy change.
A group of characters in the same area, on accounts that are logged in from the same geographic location (though VPNs could likely defeat this), performing actions at fixed intervals.
while a valid opinion relative to yourself
Not surprising since most people that play this game are only looking out for themselves. This is an incredibly selfish community.
Man I love seeing boxers complain. They all hid behind blizzards ToS instead of arguing any sort of moral integrity. Where is your ToS God now boxers lmao
This is an unintended/intended masterstroke by Blizzard.
You don’t alienate your players by banning something they do.
You make it so hard to do it so most of them will convince themselves it wasn’t good anyway and slowly fade away.
you didn’t magically create value out of nothing.
I am by flipping on AH. It funds my extra accounts!
Sometimes I think of resubbing my other accounts to go transmog hunting with all armor type.
