Oh yeah? The gnome guy we fought just had a lame mechano strider.
Personally, yes. I do believe that Adding new tanks and healers to the game will encourage more people to heal and tank.
But i’m not an idiot. I know the number of people that will change is quite small.
I hope to Adress the issue by also giving Tinkers a new Ranged DPS spec. Something that is VERY popular in WoW, and also in high demand.
Like I said, Not an idiot. A New Tank and Healer wont convince people to change to the new class. But a New Ranged DPS certainly would.
And maybe, just maybe, a few of those players will try out the Tank spec, or the Healer spec.
And Maybe they’ll like it.
Yep. But Razzo’s Mechano strider operates just like Gazlowe’s shredder.
It gives him armor and defensive abilities until it breaks, and then he’s a squishy enemy inside.
Tinker tanks could be the Same way.
Tank shredder to operate, and if you “die” you actually just eject out, and if the healer can keep you alive you can summon a new mech once you’re out of combat.
I’d really like to see the mech suit have some content. Building and designing the Mech. Lots of cosmetics that are either unlocked, looted or created by Engineers. And I think the Mech should work like a companion/pet. By that I mean, independent to the player. You can hop out of it, repair it and then hop back in. I don’t really like the idea that it’s just a glorified Druid form or mount.
Summoning should work like a 5 second cast where you radio it to you. I can already imagine the Goblin version crashing down next to you, like an asteroid, creating a small crater. Haha and the Gnomish version making a soft landing.
Once inside, you can change forms for flight, float and submerse.
All of this is AWESOME.
I especially like the Idea that additional cosmetics could be created by Engineers. Not only does it add immersive customization. but It also gives engineers something worth doing, and promote double dipping your benefits in order to have an Engineer/Tinker.
Also. I completely agree it should have a Radio animation, considering we already have the assets (assuming Blizzard still has them) The Warrior landing animation from Legion when you would exit your order hall.
I’m not a huge fan of the tinkerer class concept, but I’m still a fan of new classes.
For a Dragonlord class, I was thinking of something like a battlemage, Druidic class. The class would be relatively ranged, with a lot of medium/close range abilities that allow for close-range spellcasting. The strongest abilities are ranged (mostly insta-cast like the Hunter, but the class is overall a ranged class), but it has several close-range abilities that allow it to succeed at basically any range you want with a lot of mobility. All specs have a dragon form (simply a mobility thing) that can be customized, and possibly some other dragon forms like druids
Lore: New dragon aspects are risen, and to help combat ____, they’ve decided to create a force of dragon warriors for the thing.

My only major problem with a Dragonlord class, is that the Assets for Tinkers already exist in game.
I don’t dislike a Dragon class, but I think Tinkers are way, WAY more likely.
You, gonna Elaborate? Argue?
Did you just assume there will be a 10.0?
I love pretty much any new dragon lore but my issue with “Dragonsworn/lord/warrior” concepts is that there isn’t really any precedent in Warcraft for dragons acting as “power patrons” for mortals. Most of them really aren’t all that much more powerful than mortals themselves.
Now if we could play as actual dragons, with their own class and race baked in together, I would play this game until the end of time.
Probably, since that’s the safest assumption possible.
If you think they’re going to stop milking WoW when Shadowlands broke sales records then I’ll have what you’re smoking.
What’s the fascination with a new class?
You’d still be playing the same game with it. And probably with more balance issues since the new class would have to be the new META.
It’s basically “I want a PONY!”
I know. Brave.
I feel the same way about Tinkers.
If i could slap a gun on my back, build turrets, and tank in a big robot, While role-playing a Neurotic Goblin, then there wouldn’t be any reason to play anything else.
I would buy things from the WoW store.
YA HEAR ME BLIZZ?
They’re fun?
This is gonna sound WILD, but I actually like World of Warcraft if you can believe it.
I like Mythic dungeons, I like raids, I like certain casual content.
I like playing with my friends.
I dont think WoW is that fundamentally flawed. I pick a class I enjoy and I push content I enjoy.
I don’t want massive sweeping changes to progression and game design, I want a new class so I can continue enjoying world of warcraft in new ways.
No, I stopped playing on the Alliance because they gave me too many ponies.
I mean, I think it’s inevitable they will add another class at some point. It’s a huge expansion feature selling point.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with players elaborating on what they want.
Actually I hope they never do because they’ve already exhausted the game’s design space when it comes to class design.
They can’t even make the current classes compelling, as there are many specs that are languishing, some of them have been in development hell for years. (Arcane Mage being the biggest example.)
There just are not enough things the devs can do with the game to make the existing class specs interesting, let alone adding additional ones.
Nah, on the WoW forums you’re only allowed to be miserable and want nothing done about it.
Why do you play this game if you think it’s so Bankrupt of good content?
What? I think the game has tons of content.
Classes are not content, they’re the interface through which we experience the content.

Classes are, in a way, content. They freshen the experience and allow old content to be experienced in new ways.
It isn’t the same as adding dungeons or quests. But it absolutely gives the game more breadth and new things to enjoy.
A New Dungeon gives me new things to do, But a New class gives me a new way to play every dungeon in WoW.
