And Tettles is a pro player.

Some people lose the narrative rather quickly.

Current M+ changes is a huge downgrade. Straight up.

Meaning it just went from 45 timed runs to 98 timed runs to fill out myth track gear.

Timing 8 +10’s every week for over 12 weeks to cap gear is going to significantly reduce the number of alts I play. I usually play 4 or 5 characters, but with this change I’ll drop to 2. I don’t play alts to have low geared characters stuck in entry level content. If play an alt it’s because I want to try a different spec or role in the same content that I do on my main. I don’t know how Blizz can launch an expansion saying things about respecting time and faster content releases while making changes like this.

This is assuming 15 slots to upgrade (using a 2h weapon in this scenario) with the current rates of 15 crests per upgrade level and 12 crests per timed dungeon.

At the moment, worst case scenario for myth track gear you do +8 dungeons and get a 1/4 myth track in every slot you need to do 54 dungeons to get enough crests to max everything out.
Best case scenario you are doing +10 or higher and getting Myth 2/4 track items from GV you need to do 38 dungeon runs to max out all the gear.
In TWW, the ABSOLUTE best case scenario is doing +10 you get Myth 1/6 track gear from the GV you need to do 94 dungeon runs to max out all the gear.

So if nothing else changes you need to do nearly triple the grind to max out your gear in the best case scenario if you are a sole m+ player.

Are you seeing the problem?

BlizZard said they were going to move away from making things alt unfriendly in DF but now this is a huge step backwards heading into TWW.

They say this every expansion. They say a lot of things. Many of them turn out not to be true.

Crest cap going back to 90 a week too. 75 crest to upgrade a item to 6 out of 6. You can get 1 item done per week. 5th week you have enough for 2 items.

Yeah when you start arguing “You don’t need to do this thing you’ve been doing for many expansions now, you just want to” it kind of proves you don’t have an argument and are just being a painful contrarian.

You have yet to lay out WHY this is a problem. You are merely asserting it is one, assuming folks would agree, did some math to back up your assertion, but have yet to specifically explain why this is a problem.

So… there’s nothing to argue against. There’s nothing to “be a contrarian” against.
You made an assertion, I don’t believe it, I explained how this isn’t a problem, and you are then going: “No you! You aren’t the one with an argument!”

Are you seeing why I’m firmly asserting that this isn’t a problem, except for something you choose to make a problem? The only people who are in an environment where this is a requirement rather than a personal want (which, again, would be done in installments meaning that you never needed to do 94 dungeon runs - you’d probably do 94 dungeon runs … over the course of a season) are folks who actively compete.

But if you are competing and purposefully limiting yourself, then that’s a personal choice to limit oneself. The average player isn’t a MDI competitor, nor even a min-maxer. So no, this isn’t a problem.

TL;DR: “You people need to completely stop caring about the game. But keep paying.”

I have laid out why it is a problem. It’s massively increased the grind from where it’s at right now.

I have explained why I don’t like it, because it increases the amount of time I have to grind on my main. Which means time at the end of the season to freshen things up by playing an alt and catching up on gear.

It also means people who do take a break have an even harder time catching up to their friends.

I am not the only person in this thread to explain this to you.

You willingly ignoring to try and be a smug berk about it doesn’t put you on the intellectual level of Ricky Gervais.

Crests in Season 4

Players can now earn up to 120 crests of each type per week in Dragonflight Season 4. This was a maximum of 90 per week in Season 3. The increase will allow for up to 8 upgrades per week, per crest type. For players who don’t reach their maximum crest earnings in a given week, we’ve implemented the increasing-seasonal-cap system from previous seasons. Please note that this increase is likely applicable to Season 4 only. We expect the weekly maximum to return to 90 for The War Within Season One…

They only raised the cap to 120 for the awakened season goes back to 90 for regular seasons.

You mean how they’ll now be playing for rewards instead of no rewards? Or rather the reward period is lengthened.

A game that doesn’t give you enough to do, so you play alts is more of an issue.
