Im sure there are some who complain over any pvp interaction they have, but most people are not like that. I dont care about having to pvp or even getting ganked, i love pvp, when p2 first launched i and pretty much everyone else on alliance went to SS and there was a huge war between alliance and horde, both sides were evenly balanced too and it was amazing, infinitely better than anything retail has to offer for pvp. But while alliance might fight at south shore, horde control literally every other part of the map while also having enough to fight at SS, and this is where the problem lies, alliance simply doesnt have the numbers to combat this
Four level 60âs today?
Yesterday I died 11 times from thorium point to UBRS, by which point the group disbanded. Every centimeter of land was teeming with horde with no one to pvp against, and taking it out on us.
Take a flight path? Death. Rez? Death. Rez again? Dead.
Try to fly back? Canât. The Flight Master is dead.
Rez on spirit healer? Dead. You have been killed by four level 60âs. You havenât spent 2 HOURS of gameplay trying to get away by an omnipresent mass of red names.
The only place where it is kinda even right now is, strangely enough, Southshore, and thatâs mostly because of a few engineering tryharders and very good healers keeping us alive while we snipe random horde who get left behind by the group/trap their corpses behind our lines.
We actually took the Lightâs Hope flight path yesterday with less than 10 people, and we even repelled a lot of horde coming our way, only to eventually die and be corpse-camped because the horde assembled a 40-man raid to deal with us. At the time there were 20 Alliance players in the ENTIRE ZONE. There is no possibility to fight back, no âgetting goodâ against 4 times your numbers.
It is frustrating for Alliance to spend hours in a gray screen, waiting for the rez countdown to end and raising legitimate concerns only to get smothered by people who are actually playing the game instead of being endlessly corpse-camped by a literal raid.
While I do feel for you, for feeling youâre in a situation that you are powerless to control, I donât believe it to be the case, nor to ever really be true.
There is always the option to do something. Whatever that may be.
There are none. The only things we can do is reroll, which makes things worse, quit, which makes things worse or beg horde to reroll alliance, which will never, ever, happen, because people donât want to be corpse-camped for 50 MINUTES trying to get to UBRS.
Of course there are some! Câmon man!
BTW I was actually Horde before mid-legion (Alliance in Vanilla/BC) when a few friends of mine convinced me to reroll Alliance. So itâs not even entirely my fault that I am in this situation. Lol.
On Whitemane, even with conservative estimates there are approximately 68 horde players to a given 40 man alliance raid. Convincing even one horde player to reroll is an exercise in futility - convincing enough to reroll to make a sizable dent in the imbalance even as existing alliance players quit and reroll themselves out of frustration? Nearly impossible.
You play horde. Tell me, what would convince you to reroll alliance knowing the existing imbalance?
It really hasnât affected me either and Iâm level 40 alliance on a horde dominant server. (because i am a rogue). Iâve gank around 100 horde. I guess rogues are op at this level
Can you point me to your recruitment threads that show this exercise in futility in action?
Literally that. Knowing the existing imbalance would. Esp. if I could somehow believe that it was real, and a challenge.
Can you answer my question? What could I offer you, a horde player, to reroll alliance on a server with the type of imbalance i speak of? This is an honest inquiry. What would it take?
and i am glad i went allianceâŚi feel bad enough deleting people so quickly but remember they are horde and have it nice
Yes, sorry I edited my original answer, while you were posting this. Please see above.
LOL, youâve edited your quote to show that I said that. Nope, PvP realms have a value, thatâs everyone is open to wPvP, playing there should me you are willing to wPvP at any point someone else wants to wPvP.
If thatâs not true for anyone, reroll on a Normal realm, because PvP comes first on PvP realms.
You can reroll thatâs an option. No offense.
Literally that. Knowing the existing imbalance would. Esp. if I could somehow believe that it was real , and a challenge .
Okay, then whats stopping you? Come to whitemane. We are high pop and starving for alliance representation.
then go join alliance to even it out if you feel bad.
I play both ally and horde.
You can reroll thatâs an option. No offense.
Me rerolling solves the problem for me. It does nothing to correct the population imbalance on my server as a whole, and in fact only further contributes to the problem.
âŚlike i already said in my post.
There will be even more 60s killing me tonight, but I do see your point. I respect you for your assault on the Lightâs Hope FP yesterday. At least youâre among the Alliance who are trying to fight back.
Vanilla servers werenât meant to be balanced either so whatâs your point?
