The concurrence that Elitism is killing WoW, not Casual.
Both are needed in a healthy dose for WoW to succeed.
Right now, there is more Casual content with high rewards then probably at any point in WoW’s history.

I have an idea.
Basically, Elitist should be the name of the Sport difficulty for Raids/M+. Anything above what Blizzard deems acceptable for M+ is then called E+.
Raid Difficulty should be this:
LFR (Beginner/Normal/Heroic/Mythic) for the gear, with far reduced difficulty and allows you to train for mechanics in later Elitist difficulties.
Elitist (Beginner/Normal/Heroic/Mythic) for the sport, with the current difficulty. That way you can train for the sport of the kill for all to look at.
LFR Drops 370, 385, 400, 415 with regular WF/TF/Tert/Socket rules. Also remove WF/TF restrictions on Weapons/Azerite. Allow JP/VP to drop from this mode to slowly upgrade gear beyond 415 and add Tertiaries/Socket.
Elitist drops 425 Titanforged at the Mythic Level and Beginner/Normal/Heroic for achievements, 430 Azerite assuming AP 50, with currency to buy a tertiary and a socket rolled in, not that it matters anyway, since all Elitists care for this is the sport of the kill.
Shhh dont tell him he will get every slot to 400+ from absurd mcforges by the time he would buy a 400 piece from 3 TR a heroic dungeon. I mean. Its ONLY over 200 heroic dungeons.
I’d rather that than what currently stands.
M+ is casual content. It offers great rewards.
LFR is casual content.
Right now the hardest content (mythic raiding) drops 415 gear. Getting 400 gear is not difficult on a weekly basis.
We dont need 8 raid difficulties.
“Elitists” are only at a 15 ilvl advantage right now. Less really. You can get over 400 ilvl pretty easily without raiding mythic.
The iLevel inflation only covers four, like it currently does.
Changes nothing I said. The “elitists” get 415 gear. The “non elitists” can easily get 400 gear. Isn’t that what you want?

I am going to attempt to resume the conversation from the point when Xintao replied. Sorry for talking too much about in-game systems.
You can easily farm 400s. You have multiple sources for 400+ gear. You can run unlimited dungeons a week to get 400 gear.
It just takes content harder than heroic dungeons to do so. And that isnt elitism. M+ isnt elitist content.
Nah man you are pushing your elitist ideals on him. 6/9 H is nearly impossible and m+ is impossible to start even as a 390 DH because no one invites me! Oh well. Better give up and never apply myself and instead whine on the forums for more handouts.
The game is suffering because it doesn’t feel rewarding to wait or have RNG dictate your upgrades.
Im genuinely curious why you think you deserve 400 IL gear when you are 390 and have not done a single piece of actual content that drops 385 baseline.
But if you do content that gives you the upgrades you want, you will get them.

Wait? I can log on literally right now and have a 60% chance at a 400 piece in 40 minutes on any of my 3 max level characters. 80% for 2 of them and I actually put forth even more effort.
You criticize me over a sub-idea of derailing a thread that mainly talks about how unrewarding the sub fee is, yet you and Medaax do literally just that.
I’ve been trying to mend the thread. But apparently you Elitists just can’t have that, do you?
