The stigma against twinking never warranted this

LOL because there is no Community just a bunch of people working off of a explote in the game systems that help them get 100000000 kills. Now that they have to face twinks they will die off like a ice age hit.

I like the brackets in which I was originally playing for reasons that seem reasonable to me. That’s why.

I’d rather not PvP than play with twinks, so if this see PvP collapse, I have no problem with that.

Brackets with twinks were decided before the game would even start.

I must be remembering a better time then. Seem to recall there was a full subreddit built around it and people would group up or level and gear together. Guess the rose tinted glasses dont work anymore.

Welp, then now is their chance to remake that community. They have their own sandbox now, the castle built in it will be as terrible or as glorious as they make it.

There’s some small part of me that just can’t shake the feeling that a LOT of the people who twink just want to steamroll undergeared players. Not saying that’s the case for you OP
just seems like a lot like the Revealing outfits on Twitch situation, everyone ‘knows’ what’s up but the protest if the issue comes up is claws out.

In any case, better solutions are required for all involved.

What part of that statement you quoted implies that I care about balance? I just said unbalanced events tend to be more memorable. If they’re boring, fine. The point of that was to counter a point someone else tried to make about how terrible it is for things to be unbalanced.

Sure, that’s how all world PvP goes down. We all know this. A bunch of Alliance comes to some area and an equal number of Horde players come and they all have a dance-off. The person who wins decides the battle and even though some players are flagged, nobody takes advantage of the situation, as the rules are set and honor is key.

W PvP? Not sure how you jumped to that subject it certainly has no connection to the subject of this thread. But whatever:

I haven’t turned war mode off yet in BfA, always quest solo.

“A bunch of Alliance comes to some area and an equal number of Horde players come and they all have a dance-off”. No, never been the way it’s worked. Before the Alliance were bribed to set WM to on they were scarce.

Before Alliance bribed mode was a thing, if a solo Alliance was spotted some would engage some would ignore unless the Alliance initiated.
If a group of Alliance was spotted there were call outs and Horde would try to group up and overwhelm (worked eventually more often than not, because Hord outnumbered Alliance).

After the Alliance bribe mode was implemented, large Alliance groups started to camp flight points and many quest areas (for whatever reason they like camping the Tortollan quests) the number of Alliance actually questing in WM didn’t increase, just these “raid” sized groups where you would land if you used flight paths.

Some Horde who had gotten used to the population advantage started crying on the forums, the rest of us enjoyed the small amount of challenge sometimes added to the, by now ridiculously boring and repetitious, WQs. The quests were very much still doable, just more interesting and a bit longer to complete.

“The person who wins decides the battle and even though some players are flagged, nobody takes advantage of the situation, as the rules are set and honor is key.”

Not sure what this means. Everybody is flagged in WPvP. Honor points are garbage in WPvP, nobody cares about them.

All in all this is a different subject, if you want to discus WPvp, instead of twinking, start a new thread in the proper forum, or add to an existing one, I’m done with this off topic bit here.

Not only that but just the level gap alone is huge enough for people to wreck lower levels. Been playing and leveling alts since vanilla by questing and PvPing before they even added XP to BGs, a lot of times I’ve seen people complain it was multiple reasons

1.) They weren’t very good at PvP, I’d see them fighting and completely understand why they were complaining. It’s fine to be bad, but don’t ruin everyone else’s experience because of that.

2.) They were going again FOTM classes that could kill people easily without even twinking

3.) They were entry level into the bracket and getting killed by everyone regardless

4.) Their gear was very bad, or extremely out dated for their level. You don’t have to twink or have best in slot gear to fight twinks, having decent gear and learning how to use CC can do wonders. That’s something most people fail at though, even myself sometimes when I’m on non-twinked characters.

Hey, you’re the one making the claim that people just want to be fair. I brought up an example where we have the freedom to choose and it never goes that way – and you couldn’t handle it.

“RAWRLGGRPLLOOBLUMBLUM GO START ANOOTER THRED BY”

Nope, never said anything that strange.
I said many (actually I believe most) people prefer a challenge when playing games, otherwise I don’t see a reason to play them, you say you want games to be easy wins, and easier is always better.

WPvP is yet another example where it’s most fun when it’s challenging, if your point was supposed to be that “challenging” = “fair” then sorry, there is no equivalency and you don’t seem to be able to understand the concept of playing games to challenge yourself.

Now who’s making stuff up?

If you didn’t try to resort to gibberish at any opportunity, maybe it would be easier to follow the conversation. I never compared challenge to fairness. I said that absurdity =/= bad and that was in response to someone else.

My point was that I wanted to be able to compete in my favorite bracket. If gear is the determining factor, then I want gear, but if I can’t find a BG with XP-off, then’s when I have a problem.

So if gear is meaningless why bother? what are you gaining from trying to que with a third of your kit?

All twinks who want back into the common pool with everybody else: upvote this Game Shop Item Suggestion: Experience reset potion

A stat template option for exp off would fix this issue completely in my eyes. You could que up in exp off, and ad a stat template to your toon having the same effect it had in legion and merging ques between expon and off, or you could have the option to turn your stat template off in exp off, and ques would be separated for those who want to not compete with levelers. This would resolve this issue in my eyes, and i hope blizzard is listening.

Nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh necro.

Anyways, I wish there was an option to play XP off non-twinks in BGs. I just like the 29 and 39 brackets for fun. I don’t need to twink, so perhaps an ilvl cap or template to keep the players close to the same power levels.
