The State of Things

Yep.

I’m tired of jumping though hoops just to unlock flying.

As a matter of fact, I haven’t even gotten my main to max level yet. Got through Bastion, and Started Mald…and just quit.

Been creating and playing new toons in the first 30-40 levels or so, and just farting around aimlessly. But no matter how bored I get, I just can’t drag myself to my main to finish leveling and go though all the grind. Not again.

I loved the older versions of the game where you could level how you wanted, and at your pace. If you wanted to just kill mobs to max level or just do dungeons or whatever, you could, and never had to worry about completing a long checklist for flight. I hate feeling like I’m stuck on a rail doing everything exactly the way some Blizz dev demands we all play. Too cookie cutter now.

And honestly, it feels like there really isn’t any point playing anymore since nothing will ever change. We have a huge amazing sandbox to play in, yet we’re not allowed to use it.

I never misunderstood that flight in Shadowlands would be available 2 weeks after 9.0 where the hell did you get that from HAHAHA what a joke. My advice to you is to keep your mouth shut while you are ahead, if you call it that, because you are literally opening yourself up now. Takre your licking and leave or I’ll give you more.

I completed the quest line on the PTR. It will take 2 weeks. The first week is the opening quest, and the second part will unlock on week 2. It takes less than an hour to complete the second week chain.

I wouldn’t applaud Blizzard for making it easier, tho. I’m convinced the only reason we’re getting flight like this is because of the extended time between major patches. I don’t expect it to be this easy next time.

Yup as the article states that I pasted into this conversation flow, I get it and I got it BEFORE Rhielles little embarrasing blurt out …

One of my favorite lines in the news article was “earn flying early on” and I couldn’t help but take it out of context and laugh bitterly.

… and of which has absolutely no bearing on the information in this thread nor changes the flow of time from reply to reply, the fact that your reply came after my reply indicating that I was already clearly aware of the changes to the timing as I myself typed the link into the reply BEFORE you went off a cliff … and then subsequent face saving trash to follow … Nice try, but typical, people with big ego’s who get caught out putting their feet in their mouths trying to blur the lines after the fact around everything with misinformation to save face.

Actually we are not, I set the tone for this entire thread as stated, you seem to think that you can decide that the entire thing is about 9.1 flight but that is not the case. Please read the original post and understand what I am communicating or go and start your own 9.1 flight post. Everyone else understood what my OP was all about, no one else tried to take the entire flow off topic to some other derivation.

And after all of that, you starting a situation and a couple of others jumping on your band wagon, then being proven wrong and running away, you decide to try and take the cowards option and cry “community guideline breach”, fine 2 can play at that game, it’s done

I think most of us have this weird hope that it will be good again hence the sub-unsub cycle. Confidence is falling everyday though. For me the unsub periods get longer while the sub periods shrink.

same, its a real shame. I’ve finally ended up at the point of typing into a forum post because it’s that bad

I’ve never unsubbed before— until now. In 16 years, I’ve kept going. But there’s just too much now that I’m not sure I can stay. I’ve got some months left, since I was on a six month sub, so I’ll keep trying to switch my guildies and friends over to Old Republic. lol

I’m playing Elderscrolls Blackwood at the moment and it is good my sub ends in 2 days and it will stay that way for months probably.

Shadowlands is fine. Yes they can improve on some things, most of it is good. There is more content than ever yet you complain.

You need a break. Go play other mmos and I’ll realise how good wow is

That’s funny. Just what do you think all other MMOs do? FF, ESO? All chasing some reward.

Shadowlands isnt fine. It may be fine for some people and that is fine. What isnt fine is the same people that think it’s fine telling others how they should feel and how they should express their opinions regarding how frustrated they are on a game that you have to pay to play on a sub fee monthly.

The new classic servers kinda open my mind regarding this “nostalgia” shot that people seek in playing classic and now tbc… I realized that maybe people isnt playing for nostalgia but for the systems/class designs and how things were much more simple back during those expansions…

I think I may not comeback to retail for the time being and nowdays I’m seriously thinking in getting into tbc despite having to start from ZERO on a new character without all of the QoL… just to avoid the ridiculous amount of bad systems retail currently carry over for the last 2 expansions in order to somewhat play the endgame.

There is also following the story to its conclusion, being part of the story, and part of the fantasy world. The usual reasons people play RPGs.

Where is this true, other than WoD as mentioned earlier (which was a lack of content, not a lack of timegating)? Even the rep from TBC Dungeon mob kills stops at Honored or whatever it is.

I haven’t done anything in-game since February. Hardly a fanboy. I just don’t feel like timegating has actually changed that much other than people becoming aware of it.

hey why are youmad bro? it’s free market if you don’t like a product you go to another. chill and enjoy other games. people take things too serious and behave like blizzard killed their firstborn or something

I thought so too, but there isn’t really a lot of water in Shadowlands so at least the other mount equipment options are viable.

No they dont. If a game is making you post a novel sized rant you need to figure out your priorities.

The anti daze equip was a game changer.

I really had fun. I didn’t play the game for 12 years and decided to try it out again 2 months ago.

I went back and did some of the old things I missed, did all the kyrian quests, which were so good. I was really sad when I ran out of kyrian quests to do.

So the last month has been me just doing these mythic+ dungeons for loot, but I get more loot and all I can do is do more dungeons that right now I’ve done atleast 100 of them and I’m kind of tired of them.

I dont like the world quests and I’m not going to the maw. King can find his own way out of there.

The problem for me at this stage of the game is that theres nothing else to do. I really don’t want anything offered from rep or grindy things except for the cooking apron, but it says I have to do dailies for a month to finish that and I won’t be here long enough to get it, so.

Anyway, the game is great until completing the kyrian quests, then its pretty much over. Theres nothing left to do.

Spent like a week collecting toys, that was okay. I figured out they didn’t add any toys in SL, which… I guess I understand? No, not really. I think the company is stretched thin for manpower. Anyway, I added macros to use toys with all my spells, so everytime I cast something some random toy goes off and that was really fun, but I ran out of toys to collect so…
