Aye, the hot pants.

The WoW community in general hate content creators(or at least on the forums). The reality of the situation is an MMO kinda needs them in this day and age, they are what helps drive interest in a game and when they are gone so too does the game start to die. Rather you like it or not i mean thats just the reality of the situation so if you keep telling content creators to leave and they do as well as anyone who has a problem with the game or the company than you just end up here alone until you finally leave.
I do not like how things are turning out just because these forums are starting to sound more and more like Rift and Wildstar(2 games with wasted potential) forums did everyday.
I hope I won’t have to come back to this quote in a week’s time and find it has aged horribly.
At least you and I will be able to have a laugh amidst the tears.
If they lose a lot they will just reinstate multi boxing to get subscribers back.
By that metric your money is also going to their abusers, so.
Just wait till you get bunboys instead.
Well not sure that would have the same effect on me. But I know many are bound to love them.
One thing to keep in mind is that most WoW content creators can’t be impartial. It’s their livelihoods or side gigs at stake. They have something to lose if players stop subbing or lose interest in the games that they cover. So the bias will naturally be to nudge people to keep subbing despite what was contained in the legal filing.
Usually the tl;dr version goes: I know what happened at Blizzard was bad BUT [fill in the blanks]
Hey, everybody gotta eat so I wouldn’t judge too harshly.
Yes, it is. That’s an unfortunate reality of me basically giving my money to any game developer or any tech company since this type of abuse is rife in both industries. That obviously doesn’t stop me from buying games or tech and messing around with them.
I mean, I knew, a long time ago that Blizzard had this type of mentality in it. Obviously, at the time it wasn’t provable. But given that the industry was rife with it, it was better to consider that this type of mentality existed. Rather than to naively believe that it wasn’t there at all. What shocked me when this lawsuit came out, wasn’t that the attitude and behaviour was there, but the sheer scale of it.
So I knew, deep down, that my money was going to these types of folks long before this lawsuit dropped. And it still will, but I’m not going to focus on that and instead focus on the fact that it will also go to the hard-working devs who aren’t scumbags, and of course the victims of said scumbags.
I’m around as long as my guild is around. The. Game doesn’t keep me subbed. My guild does.
Do you honestly think Activistion Blizz will continue to pay devs to do nothing? No, of course they won’t.
They will either fire the ones not doing their jobs or they will make some internal changes to satisfy the workers. When something at a company happens, they just have to deal with it and move on. It does not cease to exist.
There is no way Activision kills off billions of dollars in revenue.
Will 9.2 be further out then anticipated? who knows? Who knows when we even anticipated anyway? It’s likely that 9.2 is solidly in development already. If it takes them a couple weeks to resolve their internal issues, then so be it. Clean up what needs to be cleaned up and move forward.
Why are you so bothered by a strangers choice? That is what is confusing to me.
Yeah, I will continue to play. They will resume development, they are probably in the process of moving all the employees involved and replacing them. Once that is done things will restart once more.
The real sad part is that people will actually stop playing over a studios in office studio. I don’t care as long as the game is good.
The ship is sinking because SL is a flop and there is nothing new and exciting about the game anymore, not because of a lawsuit.
I’ll probably be here and there in-game for the next several months.
Don’t blame you.
But at the same time, you’d be hard pressed to find a company in today’s times that doesn’t do that.
As a casual not much for me to do, subs up in a few days, did all I could to try and entertain myself this time around. ultimately I find myself repeating a process on an alt that was a time-gated nightmare to do on main. the game feels more soulless every time I sub and try it for 30 days, feels weird, not fun and exciting as it did years ago during legion.
Just cancelled my sub best feeling ever I dont like to support Sh… companies
it will if they have a court order telling them to stop all production
If i stay long enough I will finally be the best WoW player in the world!
