The reason for giving Allies advantage in AV?

Did they state a reason? Just curious because I just saw some allies use it and it was a long, slow, painful loss. Just wondering why Allies needed the advantage with Horde getting close to even on winning here lately.

because despite popular belief, the map design was in heavy favor for horde defense, whereas alliance defense was pitiful and full of holes. The SHGY allows to have a decent choke point to try and match the hordes extremely powerful IBGY choke.

Oh shut it about IB choke. I asked a question about the reason behind giving allies an advantage. Allies win consistently in AV for years then lately Horde bring it back to even and all of the sudden allies get an advantage given to them. You like welfare?

Don’t ask a question if you don’t want an answer.

You asked a question and you got the answer. Horde has superior defense, and has since the rework of AV. Now that NPC’s have been buffed the IBGY defense’s superiority has become extremely apparent, meanwhile alliance only has one viable choke beinghte bridge, which has a back door and requires loss of most objectives. So please study the map before you start telling others to shut it.

Oh I don’t need any assistance killing your horde teams. I’ve done it since cata, and I will continue murdering the horde.

“IB CHOKE!” Isn’t an answer, it’s a reflex at this point, lol. Any time an allie gets challenged about AV they knee-jerk response “IB CHOKE!” I doubt Ragaren knows anything at all but he knows to say “IB CHOKE” if anyone says something about alliance having advantages in AV.

It still is. How hard is it to go behind Balinda and zerg IWB? Or zerg north?

It seems that your ignorance is too great for you to accept the reality of the answer given to you. IB choke is an answer as it is a defensive terrain feature, this along with frostwolf keep are powerful defensive points that prove stronger than alliance because of terrain holes, and the structure of their base. I’ve played your horde side, if you lose as horde it’s due to your incompetence.

The gy postioning allows the team to have a full 40 defending the gap between iwb and the gy, without fear of losing the gy from horde coming in the other direction. So it has strengthed the alliance’s defensive ability in AV.

Full 40, okay… so sneak behind Balinda and behind IWB and zerg north to break the 40 Alliance.

Blah, blah, blah… “if you don’t win with IB choke then you are deserving the loss” you might as well have put that in right after “IB CHOKE!”. Like I can control 39 other people.

Now back to the question, did Blizzard give the alliance an advantage just because Horde started to win as much as the alliance in AV and the allies need their welfare or is their some other reason?

Or for allies “did allies get an advantage because Horde actually started to use IB CHOKE lately?”

I believe we call this a “loaded question.”

I mean if you can sneak past the 40 at Shgy then I guess so.

no because horde for the past many years were too stupid to understand the bg. You being a perfect example, are incapable of seeing the advantages your terrain holds. Because the npc change forced turtles the horde win rate start to creep up as it always done, when npc’s are buffed pre-expac.
If you want to win more AV’s then you need to think, and listen.

Saying Alliance have an advantage because of a GY is the same as saying Horde have an advantage because of a GY… only one is true, and that is Horde still have the best choke point in the game by IBT/IBGY. There is no way around, unlike SHGY. And I have been posting this on my Horde toon for years as well.

How can you not? Shgy is still set up on a hill, meanwhile anyone is free to ride behind Bal and stick to the edge to the back of IWB

The alliance was given that advantage just recently so it is relevant to current discussion. Defaulting “IB CHOKE” isn’t an answer because obviously it hasn’t hinderd the alliance for years.

Yes but the gap is between the ramp and the end of the wall. It’s wider than IBGY’s choke and less effective but it can be utilize to hold against horde a lot easier than without a ramp, as horde could push one side and then have a team come to aid on the other.

why has bruenor(the king of all welfare) never made an appearance here? i SPIT in his general direction

Because Horde never utilized it. AV was always Hordes to win but due to blacklisting and bots, it was a tough match. Most of my 50% wins as Horde were getting people to D Galv or D at TP/IBT

There are still two ways to enter and can be completely bypassed. It’s nowhere as good as IBGY still. And before someone brings up the bridge, that can be bypassed as well.

It’s only an improvement, it doesn’t balance the map or anything but it helps some.

And since no one else I talked to seems to notice, there is a nice little side path from the spawn area of the gy that takes you to a drop down you can’t get back up out near SHB entrance so if horde send some out to pressure the gy area, a back cap team can go there to get behind them to get into SHB.
