Your problem is one of analysis and a failure to untie the blindfold on your face.
It carries the same meaning the difference is the bots have moved on.
Sure you have some bots but theres a reason your AH supply is so expensive, its becasue players are farming for the stuff.
You have massive gold amounts on the server and your supply has tanked because the bots moved on to make more money in the other versions which is hwy your AH prices have sky rocketed.
This is why its ONLY happened in era.

I was playing a disc priest with tailoring/goblin engineering so jump runs were out the window. Also the gig was up on dark runes as soon as people realised we weren’t doing them for raid consumes. Went from like maybe getting anything from 0-5 per run to everyone expecting round robin on them because they knew they were worth good money. Became pretty unviable to grind fast. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘snake oil gdkp’ because that was literally all of them from my experience. Hosts go out of their way to look for gold buyers because they make the pots big and attract good players and they’re directly incentivized to do this because of things such as host cuts.
I’ve side by side tried to show jsp values for d2 items on ladder and non ladder to get it across. It’s impossible.
