Lone wolf, here is a post i stumbled on with some one comparing living flame and lone wolf. The following quote is in regards to living flames chat.

I was aware beforehand that the server was home to these types of guilds / groups so it didn’t really surprise me, I was just not accustomed to it having played Lone Wolf at SOD’s peak and having no experiences with it there.”
So it seems that your correct and Lone wolf seems to be at least very low.

Total raid pot. Oilers are rare and the actual RMTs chase them and court them. If you’re scuming it like I do items sell for nothing. It just gives me boys incentive to come on full bis toons.
There is basically no barrier to entry on doing GDKPs. Raids are pretty trivial in vanilla and just being mildly competent gets you into one as a ‘carry’. All of these ‘buyers’ are literally invited to raid after they ‘flash gold’ in a trade window proving that they have insane amounts of gold. You know, the players that somehow struggle with not standing in puddles but have 225,000 gold? I’ll let you take a guess where they got that gold. Spoiler alert: it’s not DME jump runs.

GDKP is the most efficient pug raid loot method. I’ve done countless gdkp and have been able to gear alts even against “gold buyers”. They are usually better run than other kinds of pugs. I understand it promotes gold buying, but in reality it barely affects me and the effect on the economy usually isn’t much. The bots make a lot of things that are tedious to farm cheap. And any inflation can be taken advantage of by legit players to catch up on gold.
i get why people hate it in principle, but it barely has an impact on the game if you choose not to participate.
Also, most people don’t do gdkp on their main character. It’s mostly for alt characters.

I still think it’s funny that people are pretending that carrying in a GDKP and getting your split is anything more than “don’t literally grey parse”.

Players who hate GDKPs would hate them less if they leveled a tank or healer.
The easiest gold you’ll ever make in your life is running GDKPs in one of those roles, and you will always find a group, provided your gear isn’t atrocious and you know what you’re doing.
I spent the first 3 weeks of clearing in PuGs on my Priest and Shaman, scooped up what gear I could and transitioned to GDKPs where I only buy stuff no one else wants for min bid and now I’m set for mounts and spells next phase on at least 3 toons.
Level a Tank/Healer, get some decent gear in pugs for a couple weeks every phase and then go let the swiper DPS players fund all your in game activities. Its that simple.

I get into raids fine because im amazing.
I dont buy gold and inflation doesnt exist.
ICC pots are 1,000,000+ gold most of the time and raid consumes are like 11g/ea…
You could literally raid for under 200g a week, the daily dungeon with the double quest gives 160g/day… Thats 1100g/week on 1 toon for an 8 minute dungeon that knocks out 2 dailies.
SUCH INFLATION
Played a healer. GDKPs were essential for affording consumes for the raids and PVP you cared about. It felt pretty terrible being a slave for the most obvious gold buyers in existence. Two dudes in party just bidding insane gold over the most mediocre epics because the host is assuring them both it’s ‘bis till nax bro’ and ‘I’ve never seen it go that cheap before!’
