GDKP force all other raiding methodologies to the garbage. This is what happens, always. By the time we are at cap, GDKPs will be the primary game and the gold values will already be at hundreds of thousands. This will be happening as we hit 60 in SoD unless they ban gold buying.
In Wrath servers, for sure. SOD doesn’t have as big of a GDKP scene. But even though it doesn’t have as much traffic GDKP in raids is a bigger effect per participating player since you are buying end game gear. As well as GDKPs can be shut down and not effect other people. Auction house if you shut that down it will very much damage the game.
Sure it does. On Crusader, GDKPs are already becoming the main raiding method.

There are a lot other games need gold. For sod you don’t even that much gold if you have a hunter, you farm almost everything for this phase…. Oh wait, ppl hate hunter more than gold buyers

GDKP goes on infinitely, and forever, you’ll always need more to outbid others, it never ends, it’s just an arms race of who can make (buy) more.
Sad truth is, buying gold will always be more lucrative than farming it naturally. That’s what we’re seeing now with all the bots.
You can see why GDKP is bad for the health of the game, but the people who push for them blatantly don’t care about those playing the game normally.
They cheer and rush SoD into the ghost town it’ll become like Classic, HC, and Wrath all did, thanks to people buying gold (primarily for GDKP purposes) and nothing being done about it.
Best thing you can do, is walk away.
Tons of good games that don’t rely on trashy people buying PvE drops with ill-gotten gold.

I don’t think that is true. I think its currently Pugs>Normal guilds>GDKP right now.
But I don’t believe either of us have more then just anecdotal evidence.
Again just anecdotal evidence just watching the LFG chat, I am seeing probably 4+ normal pug groups vs GDKPs. And guild groups you aren’t going to see them very publicly often since they are usually pretty silent in public channels with them not needing to advertise unless they need a last second pug. The guild group(Non-GDKP) I am in forms 11 groups with some of these groups running split runs/alt runs.
I am on your side of GDKPs aren’t a great thing but I am not seeing them being the majority.
You and Manitou are just stating what you think and opinions. In no way could you possibly back up your claims with fact, so this discussion is pointless lol.
Bottom line the problem isnt GDKP’s. It is RMT. Anyone who is against GDKP’s because it “promotes” RMT should also never be allowed to use the AH. They should also never be allowed to sell ANYTHING in trade chat or to a real player because how do you know where they got that gold. You people are nothing but hypocrites and are just ignoring the real issue which is gold buying and RMT and the fact is if you stop GDKP’s it will not stop RMT so it wont solve the real issue, which brings us back to my original 3 points of why you actually hate GDKPs.

Lol I am already loosing interest on sod because of bad drop rate and bad rune design for the classes I am playing now. Could be afk at any moment.
