Is pay for convenience P2W?
Yes, paying for any convenience makes that game pay-to-win. Any game that gives the player a better experience (even if random) over someone else who’s not paying is considered by most to be P2W. Not only do these conveniences make the game P2W, but they also make the game worse because the developer wants to design inconveniences that entice people to spend money.
And in WoW RMT doesn’t even impact your ability to get it.
You still don’t seem to understand GDKP’s are killing the same bosses as any other raid. With the same items and the same drop rates and the same lockouts.
you are correct but you are not supporting your argument properly. convenience is p2w but only if its directly taking effect. buying gear isnt p2w bc u still have to do the content therefore you are just buying out the competition. with this being understood now, you can only say its p2w if it in a competitive pvp argument. which in sod its not so youre wrong here dude. gdkp is p2w in wrath classic and thats it. and even in wotlk gdkp p2w in arena is really just an advancement and only matters in 2200 or lower brackets
I think you are confusing the word “paying”. Paying with in game gold that anyone can get for loot that drops for anyone isnt pay to win. Again, “paying” to win is with REAL MONEY IN REAL LIFE NOT GOLD IN A VIDEO GAME. Anyone can get gold in wow. It isnt pay to win because anyone has the exact same resources and abilities to get that gold, the only thing people dont have that are equal would be time I suppose. SO i guess you could say wow is “time to win” not “pay to win”
Its high enough that theres a video floating around of a silly botfarm where they have like 40+ instances of the game on about 5 or 6 different tv screens. Just a couple people running it. Nobody will ever know the number but just a couple people contributing to over 200 accounts says the number being as low as you are implying is unlikely. Also consider you can make a living wage doing this in certain parts of the world.
