To answer your question. I absolutely would rather a dead game full of good players? You seem to think I would want bad players in my game which seems crazy to me. How does that make the game “healthy” I have done one pug this SOD and man will I NEVER do that again. People literally didnt know what buttons to press in a 20 year old game. Now the only time I interact with bad players is when I am forced. Like BG’s or ashenvale event I guess.
Dudes in this thread are the same ones who paid the server 20,000 g to farm up their Scarab Lord and then claim they’re just really good at grinding gold
Aside from the RMT argument, and aside from the fact that I carried on a lot of GDKPs in the past, I just generally disliked all the dudes who’d come in and spend money. These dudes who try to flex their gold or who want to buy gear are usually the most annoying tryhard dweebs lol
The guy who’s multiboxing 5 mages, is gold capped, and has 4 other BiSed out alts is almost always something like a fat substitute teacher or database administrator in real life who spends his entire day on discord and has a manbaby meltdown if he loses WB’s and can’t parse that week
I also notice a trend where people who are anti GDKP refuse to farm any gold themselves.
And yes it’s silly to think that every GDKP auto magically just turns into a MS > OS.
The RMT problem is inherently tied to blizzard refusing to properly police RMT/Bots it has nothing specific to do with GDKP’s.
Sounds like you dont understand what pay to win is
Pro tip nothing in WoW is pay to win.
no. as stated multiple times, nothing is pay to win in WOW. An example of pay to win in wow would be… I go into the WOW SHOP and buy a legendary item that is not available in game and can only be bought in the WOW SHOP with real money and is also better than any weapon obtainable in game.
Do you feel that the amount of gold thrown around in mid-late game GDKPs is normal? There are very few items in Vanilla that require GDKP levels of gold to purchase. Your lionheart helm and edgemasters type items would set you back a pretty penny, but once you have them that’s it.
DFT, for example, would always sell for a pretty penny. Usually north of 20k. Does that sound like RMT is not involved? Let alone the above mentioned 200k+ gressil
no im not? rmt should be banned. and its not tied to gdkp use your brain homie. people RMT even if gdkps were 100% removed from wow in totality. the problem is RMT not gdkp. 1 exsist without the other or both exsist. gdkp without rmt would be amazing. do people not understand logic anymore holy f dude its like y’all just use toddler logic and reasoning. think and treat it like its a professional debate bc facts matter here my guy
EXAMPLE: if they COMPLETELY banned gdkp in full, and 100% every single player in the entire game to ever play did not buy a single copper. IF, AND THEN, you would be correct. BUT people still RMT regardless of gdkp therefore, you are wrong. please comprehend this my man
Buying gold and using gold for the best items in the game is pay to win.
Just the tip.
And why do you think that’s the norm for all items in all GDKP’s as opposed to an extreme edge case?
Pro tip none of those items can only be gotten with RMT.
You’re right, I can hop onto wotlk… spend a few hundred bucks… and come out in a handful of weeks with shadowmourne and full bis. But that’s not pay to win. Wow literally has a wow token in retail and wotlk, so you CAN go to the wow shop and buy items. You just need to use the GDKP RMT middle-man. Or in retail i guess it would probably be some sort of boost service
What if I go buy a bunch of wow tokens on retail or wotlk and trade them for gold in SOD. Isnt that legal? You still have to go to the raid and whether you help or not kill the boss and the item still has to DROP…
It doest matter.
That’s not what defines pay to win.
Youre one of those people who call it “pay for convenience” but any logical person calls it pay to win.
That is literally what makes it pay to win, something you can only do by paying.
lmfao dude you couldnt take two seconds and google “what is the definition of pay to win” before sounding this ignorant?
No that is not true.
With that line of thinking, you’d say Lost Ark isnt pay to win, which would be hilarious.
Buddy focus… we arent talking about Lost Ark… no clue what that even is never played it… just go google and then try to explain how anything you said in wow is pay to win
