The real reason why Tyrande is angry

It’s completely consistent with Anduin’s character to aid his enemy while spurning his allies, yes. That doesn’t make his behavior any less despicable.

Weird how aiding his enemies halted a war, and saved lives. Its almost like theres a pretty glaring nuance you’re willfully ignoring.

Surrender always halts a war.

Right, the alliance surrendered to the horde, thats why we let their king walk unmolested into orgrimar, and didnt demand anything in return for accepting their “surrender”.

They clearly showed in the cinematic lost honor, that the war had taken a heavy toll on the alliance, Anduin was struggling with the fact that theyd be conscripting farmers soon. He chose to let a rebellious element out of his prison to specifically sow discord in horde ranks. It worked. But no youre right. The alliance surrendered…

It united the Horde. That’s hardly working if you’re going for discord.

It took power away from the freaking enemy general. There isnt a more decisive victory than that.

Well, it did take power away from Saurfang, ultimately. I doubt that was part of Anduin’s plan, but it’s the only positive result from the Alliance’s point of view.

I guess if you want to see things through an emotional lens rather than a strategic one thats your prerogative. A lot about bfa has been silly anyway. Sylvanas rode a fart cloud out of durator after giving a villains monologue. Its not exactly game of thrones.

Are you implying them crippling the Horde operations and not allowing them to harvest Darkshore freely for bodies to raise and other resources was a bad idea? Yeah sure, Anduin, let them have this entire region without opposition. What could be the worst that can happen.

Wait what? our undead opponents are, gasp, raising the dead? They have replenished their numbers in Darkshore? oh if only that was stopped somehow. What? You’re saying their goblin operations have formed an entire supply line to help their war efforts? Where did they get all that oil and lumber from? ohhh darn it must be that Darkshore again. fiddlesticks.

Back on a serious note:

The fact is Anduin was tunnel-visioned on his own efforts, paying no mind to the needs of one of his allies most hit by this war and would have let them have free reign over incredibly resource rich areas that would have revitalized their war efforts.

A more efficient use of resources for him would have been to help his Night Elven allies slap back the Horde in this region while scaling back the plans for Zandalar to only involve the sabotage of the entire Zandalari fleet. It would have been much less casualties for one, and it wouldn’t have played them into the hands of the Horde so far while at the same time crippling them and denying them their main advantage - their fleet. Instead he wasted tons of manpower on a suicide diversion and then I guess a push into the city to kill a king that was then promptly replaced by a more Horde favoring Queen.

But I guess that wouldn’t have been as cool and not gotten us a raid so whatever, pointless to go into the nitty gritty like that

This is the most sane thing Tyeirin has ever posted.

Well Saurfang and Anduin wanted the same thing, Tyrande didnt.

Im hoping tyrande breaks off from alliance and starts her own faction. Where most of the creatures of their lore become playable.

It really doesn’t matter. From the perspective of Tyrande, someone that’s angry and riddled with grief, it’ll look like Anduin is willing to risk a lot to help the “enemy” rather than the Night Elves, who have been loyal and helped the Alliance through their many wars without question.

Yes, helping Saurfang ended the war in their favor, and perhaps helped the nelves indirectly. Strategically, it was a good move to help him. But there is always the emotional factor of how things work. He said no to helping the Night Elves fight for their ancestral lands. It just isn’t a good look imo.

Yeah like Anduin was going to fully commit to claiming back a dead tree, and leave Sylvanas to run amok.

I already acknowledged that he did the right thing strategically.

And there you’ll get no argument out of me. Of course Tyrande will feel bitter about all of this. I’m not arguing against her. My arguments have been against players who refuse to acknowledge that Anduin successfully acted as a King for the good of all his people, and wasn’t just some horde lover who rolled over for the enemy. You can still do everything right and fail. And that’s an interesting story note to build Anduin and the alliance’s story around.

What Anduin did was correct. Tyrande’s feelings will also be correct. That makes for good story telling. These emotional rp reactions however are silly.

Before: Trying to keep Horde forces from taking control of Kul Tiras and Arathi Basin.

Now: Has a chance to remove psychotic warchief from power and end the war.

Hmmmm…

As you say though, Tyrande might take offense to Alliance helping Horde. We’ll have to wait and see.

The real reason Tyrande is angry is that she doesn’t have a Snickers.

Night Elves do not have swim wear. Beach wear: Yes. Swim wear: No.

If you want to be serious on this, yes. After the initial attack the night elves retreated and the Horde were on that shore for quite some time. This meant that their ranks were replenished through raising dead elves quite a bit so sending more forces was just going to keep feeding the cycle. As for Horde harvesting resources its explained Durotar is rich in minerals, Azerite can be found anywhere, and why would they harvest from Darkshores lumber when Ashenvale still exists. You are telling me the better plan for the Horde is to push so far into the enemy territory they are having their supply lines ripped to shreds, and the night elves known for attacking from the trees would want to engage in another fight that results in whats left of their people slowly dwindling? Anduin who has to meet the Horde in opposition to their current growth in naval power should send his army to the other side of the world because it has trees??
