Imagine if that moment got an actual cinematic!
Because of their low budget?
Didn’t really take the night warrior for this to happen though, felt like more of a reason to make a customization option mid expac.
Anduin chose the option that brought him face to face with sylvanas, and ended the war. As a king who has to make hard decisions, this really is one of the few plot points in bfa that makes logical sense.
True. The Night Elves have always been savage defenders of their land and people, and xenophobic of other races. They have been pretending these past 15 years, way too humanised, following the Humans of Stormwind; yet why? They are an ancient and powerful race, they do not need an Alliance.
Anduin had a chance to end the war in one battle. Tyrande wanted her own virtual Vietnam to sate her bloodlust.
You make it sound like those 2 events occurred within a short time frame. More than a year passed since she asked. Situations changed.
Mostly to allow them to be playable, they fit in the alliance as their ideals are overall closer to the Hordes… but they don’t need to paint the alliance high king’s back porch wet either… actually the premise of the alliance is that there should be no high king. It’s an alliance/ coalition of forces, any central leader should just be like a general at a war level only
You mean he chose saving the planet over saving a small stretch of wartorn land.
N’Zoth is free. Remember him? An Old God is free on Azeroth. That’s what Anduin is fighting for, and it even spells that out in the quest line.
Only for the sake of warfronts. Storywise it’s over. The battle of Dazar’alor is over, and that was specifically why Anduin wouldn’t commit troops to Darkshore.
Arathi, I have no clue. As far as Darkshore, I think when Tyrande killed a val’kyr and drove Nathanos off is when Darkshore was won back.
Yeah, and I wouldn’t trust Sylvanas to run a popsicle stand without her coming up with some way to poison her customers.
Saurfang was trying to end a war, which is completely in line with what Anduin desires. He made it clear in Before the Storm that he believes both sides could coexist if Sylvanas was removed from the equation. I think he is young and naive but that has been his position all along.
And for all we know she’s planning to destroy another city. She could have had Orgrimmar booby trapped with Blight for all we knew. She’s a scorpion, it’s not a matter of if she’ll betray us, it’s a matter of when. So trying to eliminate her as quickly as possible is the best plan.
The “personal vendetta” as you call it ended the stupid, contrived war.
Posting in a Tyierin thread.
More correctly, she has every reason to hate Anduin.
Genn is also part of the Alliance, and helped her out.
Anduin Wrynn is the enemy of the Kaldorei for making peace with the Horde.
