Fixed it for you.
while I agree with the issue you listed, I don’t think the correct solution is to remove all war modes bonuses.
sure. some people will still play it without bonus but the bonus make average players feels good to achieve something.
I don’t WM mostly regardless of faction so my personal weight in this is supportive of the OP and the solution.
Mostly I have to agree that this past Maw fix was a unique situation / also universal benefit for both factions, and this is the most constructive post and in depth explanation of the situation. That’s just my two cents anyways. shrugs
This is a great way of looking at things dearie, you get another heart from me.
My main observation of this is that it is a valid issue is being used to make it seem like “more Horde bias” which isn’t the case.
Jokes on you sir, we can’t downvote in the forums anymore.
If the horde had the aoo quest the alliance would have farmed in the same way with the 30% bonus
The wild thing to me is that the fix has been said to be beneficial to both factions?
The Alliance still get the quest / WM bonus but like the OP pointed out they just can’t because of the uniqueness of the Maw mechanics camp the only way in and out, they just have to move to the questing areas which makes sense to me
Yes because people’s feelings might get hurt that we mass downvote them. Lol.
If only, I have always been against the bonus because I figure you should PVP if you want to not because you are bribed but for fairness we should have the 30% bonus as well.
it’s funny because on my realm , ally is diyng a lot…maybe that was the same problem here…
Exactly, the bonus is negative reinforcement and should be removed. All it has proven to cause is players turning it on long enough to do the quest at choke points with the LFG tool and then port out and turn warmode off until next week.
It’s fostered bad behavior.
Lol what it actually looks like for the Horde is “What’s with all these a-holes camping here?”
We would try to form groups, but with the shard system implemented in The Maw the way it is, you’re only able to group with the Horde who are already on your shard who are already down in there. Nobody wants to go through the trouble of getting back to Oribos (which the running to the portal back is where all the camping happens in the first place) to put together a raid group, so that everyone goes back to the Maw and is on the same shard, for no reason other than to kill Alliance, who are already in an organized group to accomplish their goal (AOO), when it’s easier to just come back at a different time if you want to keep WM on, or just simply turn it off and go do your campaign quests/dailies.
If Horde ever has AOO given to them, it’s gonna get real ugly for the unfortunate Alliance players who try to play WM. I don’t think even 75%-100% bonus gain would be enough incentive by that point…
Free handouts and bonus then turn it off and get the bonus again the next week, I have literally seen tons of people say this in threads since warmode was added and yet Blizzard has still continued to give them the bonus.
AOO is only 500 anima a week. That’s piss in the wind. I get twice that much in a single day when I’m not even focused on anima farming
Go back and retroactively undo the last two years of “just turn war mode off” Horde players consistently fed to Alliance players and then maybe I’ll be a little more sympathetic. Until then: just turn war mode off
and this is why PvP servers need to come back and phasing removed
It’s bad for the game
Not to mention it’s bad for the community as it causes so much angst
I disagree. For a casual player like me, 500 anima feels like a ton. It takes me about 3 days to obtain the 1000 cap.
This is the exact problem with Warmode. It will ALWAYS be given to the “underrepresented” faction, which will ALWAYS be Alliance, because they simply have a smaller overall population, let alone Warmode participants… Thus an endless cycle of cat & mouse.
Especially when the upgrades cost 1000 then like 5000. Lol.
