It was not the same. An endgame progression currency that you lost upon death was not part of the equation. It is now. This change alone severely impacts the situation. And, as I have said repeatedly, the fix has not made it so Alliance aren’t camping. They’re just camping the daily areas now. You are mildly inconvenienced at best. Stop making it sound like you were neutered.
The real problem is pvp. <period. It brings out the worst in people.
This here is the problem. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing PvP, questing, or just RPing. Everyone in a group should be able to see and interact with the other people in the group. Period.
Yes. The daily quests are effected by WM, including the 30% buff. So Alliance are getting 30% more stygia from every daily in the Maw.
Oh no we didn’t lose mana pearls to get benthic gear, it just took us far longer to get the same gear you guys could get from abusing war mode. And far from being neutered, if anything this hotfix has only rallied more alliance to continue doing whatever we can to inconvenience the horde in WM.
Everywhere I go I see corpses, tons of horde corpses. And it is delicious.
Then why are you in here complaining when I’m simply highlighting an issue involving engagement due to a systematic failure involving sharding and server capacity not recognizing groups and force phasing people?
As I have said repeatedly, not one faction was impacted, but both can / have been and it’s not okay. I am not talking about the Horde. I am talking about a systematic failure.
Oh I’m not complaining. I’m simply here pointing out a double standard to those who keep acting like the horde never did the same thing.
I agree that the sharding should be fixed. This hotfix however, has done nothing but agitate the warmongers even more.
you can keep repeating this all you like, it’s not going to make any of it true
There’s a double standard in someone realizing there’s an issue with sharding and voicing it?
Population imbalances should not affect core individual power progression.
Imagine if Soul Ash was affected by WM.
Hell, make WM give 2x honor. Pve personal progression systems should not be affected by bonuses from a population imbalance
This we agree on, but unfortunately if all that ever happens on the forum is infighting and derailment of threads (Not saying you are in this one) then the problem isn’t going to get fixed because the side who is currently benefitting is just going to shout loudly enough that it’s never solved.
Only when they voice it while being inconvenienced by it. Instead of, like when the alliance were being inconvenienced by it.
Stygia, benthic pearls, honor, time, its all the same.
I didn’t know Alliance went through this previously. If you look at me, I don’t really do WPvP. I’m in warmode because I like WPvP when I find people, but it’s not like I take a huge thing about it. I’m in the arena most of my time online. The second I realized it, I voiced it. Don’t take it out on me.
Such is the faction wars sadly. The one good thing from this hotfix is the outrage it has sparked to induce more world pvp.
Oh I’m not taking it out on you I assure you. If you feel that way, I apologize. I’m mostly speaking in generalizations.
When alliance complained about it in BFA, majority of vocal horde said “turn off wm”.
Now shoe is on the other foot, pot meet kettle, etc etc.
Oh. Okay. Well now that I know, that helps.
Honestly, I just hope something positive comes out of this thread.
Personally I’ll take quality over quantity. This isn’t world PvP, it may as well be an aoe mob farm.
The server I played on from wrath to legion, and still do now I guess (Though without warmode) was… and I know this might be hard to believe a reasonably well balanced pvp server. It was in its own little bubble as RPPVP, and even in legion you’d get multiple even numbers engagements going on across the world at the various free for all hubs or pvp world quests. It was great.
Then came the RP sharding merge in BFA and it died overnight, suddenly we went from 45/55~ to about 25/75, that bled away to 20/80 and the alliance kept their ‘Underdog’ bonus.
I don’t know what server you were on that just absolutely farmed in Nazjatar (horde wise) but it was not the same for other servers. In multiple different servers I play on the main people that were often farming out in Nazjatar was often the Alliance in New Home, and it was always massive wars there. To say that it’s strictly the horde would be false.
In addition to the gear thing you guys literally had a point in time to incentivize you to use warmode by getting a FREE heroic piece that all the alliance had to do (and did mind you) is form massive raid groups to farm small or one off horde members around the area. Which was such an advantage that I believe peopl ein the mythic world race swapped to Alli for that.
The Alliance isnt as innocent as the horde lmfao.
The issue is just go turn off War Mode if you’re going to complain about it lmao.
It’s not a server thing, it’s a shard thing.
-
Plonk 40 of the same faction in the opposite faction’s town / spawn on a shard.
-
Game notices huge imbalance and tries to rectify it by diverting opposing faction players entering that zone onto the same shard as the 40 man raid.
-
Random individuals get teleported to / land in a bloodbath and feel helpless / angry.
It’s not about server groups or factions. The system was designed in a way that encourages and feeds ganking groups. Both sides get screwed over, but they also rarely if ever see the other side of it because there’s no real way to randomly end up on the same shard as a ganking group unless they happen to set up shop there.
