They also said they don’t care about the Warmode bonus but sure have been defending it or what seems like downplaying it for the sake of acting like it’s no biggie which is something one does (or at least I do) if I want something defended but idk.
They also don’t seem to like the fact that neither side can’t camp the entrance to the maw anymore? Which idk how that matters if they still have access the anima quest they say isn’t a big deal.
I fundamentally agree with you, I’m just pointing out the reason people are so salty about the change.
I’ve played WM a total of 1hr this xpac. I dont enjoy wpvp. I did my quest and then turned it off.
The fact of the matter is that on both sides sharding is a major issue that can be abused. It’s not going to change though. The way that the cross realm gameplay is designed NEEDS shards for the sheer amount of people, so unfortunately we are going to be in this cycle of bandaid fixes.
I do have a suggestion for a solution but I doubt it would ever happen: Let it force people into the shard, let that shard become so uncontrollably laggy that the groups just dissolve and stop the camping. Maybe itll work, maybe it wont. Hilarious either way.
Well, considering a fix did happen with both alliance and horde complaints, I wouldn’t say that you were ignored, and considering it’d be highly unprofessional for a Blizzard Employee or Game Master to tell you to “cry more and turn off WM”
When I turned on WM I checked my WQs and there were literally like 3 that the bonus even applied to. All gold quests. The hell do I need 25% more gold for? The covenants are handing out thousands of gold like its nothing.
At this point WM is practically useless if you ONLY want it for the rewards. The 500 anima was nice, about 3 or 4 WQ worth. Saved me like 30min. But other than that, why even have the bonus? Unless it applies to anima WQs and just doesnt say +25% next to it
So you’re in favor of getting rid of the bonuses for each faction like the OP stated then? I don’t have a stake in this other than agreement it is a nice amount of anima in a quick go.
Then it would probably remain that way for a month or so until a majority of Alliance players stopped bothering with Warmode.
Then Blizzard realizing they should have fixed that issue earlier would then apply their garbage imbalanced bandaid fix that only encourages turning on warmode then turning it off again.
Fortunately, you play Horde so the issue was recognized and fixed quickly. Just speaking from past experience with Blizzard of course.
I think the point is the issue wasn’t fixed, a symptom of the issue was ham fistedly removed and the underlying problem swept back under the rug to rear its ugly head again at a later date.
Honestly, as a person who doesnt do wpvp. A 200% bonus wouldnt make me turn it on. As it only applies to gold quests and doesnt benefit power progression for me, it’s useless. I love instanced pvp. I have an orc warrior with over 100k HKs. God bless his lvl85 soul. Well, hes squished now. But anyway, if I wanted to wpvp, I would. Regardless of “bonus”.
They cant allow the WM bonus to apply to anima world quests because obviously that’s kinda OP. So the bonus is really only beneficial while leveling, or if you are really wanting that like 45 extra gold from a WQ.
Stygia is effected by the WM bonus and is tied to endgame progression. In this expansion, it is tied to power progression for everyone. Just a small clarification.
Does the WM bonus affect Ven’ari rep too? Idk cuz despite playing Horde I’m on the EU RP shard structure that is similar to your OCE one in that it’s Alliance dominant.
Ok let me rephrase that so its easier to understand and get my point across.
The alliance (team blue) were getting camped in the same sharding abuse that the horde currently are. They complained, submitted reports, and nothing happened.
The horde then had it happen to them, they complained, submitted reports, and a hotfix was implemented.
See the difference?
Alliance: No fix
Horde: Hot fix.
This is the issue people are having with this recent hotfix. Alliance have dealt with this abuse for most if not all of BFA, and in the end most ended up turning OFF WM because the bonus wasn’t worth the loss of time from being camped by an abused system.
No, not to my knowledge. Reputation isn’t effected in any regard involving WM. The only people with a reputation lead involving Ve’nari would be humans.
Stygia is effected because the dailies quantify as quests and function the same as coalescing visions, so in that regard, the WM bonus (including 30%) is benefiting the Alliance greatly for early Maw / Torghast upgrade purchases.
