It’s time for smaller raids and smaller raid sizes. 20 man is too long. Give us 10 man and watch how popular it is.
It’s so tiring waiting for raiders 18, 19, and 20 to figure out the mechanics.

Well what would you be upgrading? I understand the current system to go after really rare drops and get it back to whatever content you do. But I don’t see the point of having to clear normal and then have ranks on that gear.
I don’t understand your response. If you’re strictly raiding, then you would upgrade your raid gear.
I’m trying to understand how it works as I’m not familiar with any previous iteration if there was any. Does normal start dropping lower ilvl loot and now you can upgrade it 2 more ranks to what you get it at anyways currently?
Does mythic gear have an even higher item level that you can upgrade to?
There has been 10 man heroic in the game since WoD. It’s hardly popular.
Normal mode SoO dropped 553s, that you 4/4 upgraded to 569. Heroic dropped 566s baseline that went 582 at 4/4. They could warforge 6 ilvls.
Some people didn’t like it, because your 4/4 569 was better than the 566 Heroic drop until you spent valor on it.
I’m going purely off memory here based on the MoP system I’m referring to.
Essentially you get [x] raid piece from any difficulty and then you could upgrade it’s ilvl 0/2 times. Max is 2 times only and it would be (iirc) just like 2 ilvls below the next level of gear quality. If I remember right, Heroic pieces (now Mythic) could also be upgraded 2 times.
+5 ilvl per upgrade would probably be too much for todays ilvl scaling, but maybe +3 per.
They need to make raiding better for the masses. Playing a game isn’t sitting in Oribos recruiting for 10-20 hours a week.
People keep blaming M+, but the 20 player hard count on the roster is killing raiding. Up to Heroic is largely boring but then you end up taking players who shouldn’t Mythic raid because you have to have 20.
If running a raid didn’t take more time not playing than actually playing, I think people would care more, but that’s not the reality.
Let the difficulty of the raid be THE RAID, not herding 20 people.
But that is not why many other people raid. Everyone who plays WoW isn’t you.
10 man heroic started in wrath I believe, as opposed to 10 man in general which started with Karazhan
It was +4. 16 total with 5.4.8 that introduced 4/4 upgrades.
I’m talking about the new flexible raid structure.
Sounds like whoever does the recruiting in your guild is terrible at recruiting then.
Want to raid log? Recruit raid loggers.
Want people who run M+? Recruit M+ players.
I’m not sure if I’m a fan of that. I would rather the loot just drop at its max rank. Unless you really want to push a progression system so someone feels good when they get currency for 1/2 ranks.
Which started in MoP.
nah raid cant die its got the good weapons and a couple great trinkets
both my good weapons (veinripper and sylv dagger) come from raid i have no choice even if i didnt like to raid… but i do
raid’s fine.
I mean, it kind of would is the greater point. I’m not sure why you see it as a negative since it prolongs your pieces into the next difficulty tier and is also good badluck protection.
I guess we should remove M+ upgrades since they should just drop their max rank of the difficulty?
Just keep the vendors.
I…don’t think you understand what I’m saying. I’m also not sure what vendor you’re talking about.
Yeah the dagger from rygelon and the priest ring are pretty big upgrades and I leeched off my guild for heroic upgrades cause I’m not currently raiding until DF. Gonna need those for the few key pushing I do with some friends.
Not gonna argue with that.
