Do you have the link? I haven’t seen it. But i’m interested.
It’s honestly one of the worst thing I found about raiding HFC.
Nothing but the last few bosses mattered. The first few bosses might as well just have been trash mobs.
Good. It deserved to die.
Keystone supremacy.
I do!
A big part to this game is the gear. Gear is even important to LFR only players.
You can only ignore that and “have fun” up to a certain point.
I hope you are right. I hope it wont become You live and the Raid died and soon WoW dies becoz the game become a trivial joke.
once you surpass them in ilvl yea, but that’s what m+ does to heroic raiding now. this kind of teeters the scale a little.
who knows, it might end up being bad, but I’m optimistic.
It has not to die. Dungeons and Raid is WoW. Dungeons alone is not enough to become WoW.
I still don’t get why they didn’t bring back the old ilvl upgrade system from MoP for raiding where you had a cap of doing +5 0/2 on your pieces. It would give raiders something to use valor on again.
Would also let folks raid gear last just a smidge longer until an upgrade is available.
yes, but gear is a tool. The idea that something isn’t worth doing if you don’t get gear from it is what kills any content.
That’s only unique to season 4 though when they uncapped valor right away. Even now my raiding friends have higher ilvl than me as I’m still reliant on a single 304 drop from the box a week.
Not just that. Heroic Mannoroth and Archimonde drops overshadowed pretty much everything except the tier bosses in early Mythic up until like Gorefiend and make running to Gorefiend 4 times a miserable experience in disenchanting loot.
M+'s current only advantage is uncapped valor. 288s wouldn’t have magically turned into 298s in all slots with a standard 750 cap per week.
You could upgrade at most 1 piece of loot per week with the cap, no weapons (they cost 1k valor to upgrade each level).
I think the 20 kill per upgrade item in Raids too was too much. Especially in a world of uncapped valor. 10 is more sensible.
that’s a good question. I think that would be a fantastic thing to bring back.
The real reason mythic+ is bad for the game is that it divides raid teams into “those who are willing and able to spam unlimited high keys” and “those who are not”. The players who have unlimited time on their hands and a desire to do this eventually become much better geared. They lose patience with those who have jobs and family obligations that interfered with doing that, or who don’t find it fun working wow like a full-time job. So the raid team breaks up. The better geared clique goes to find others who are as motivated as them, and those left behind may or may not be able to recruit to put it back together.
Yeah, dungeons are more than enough.
Not everyone feels this way, but I think there is more people that do feel this way than not. I have a friend that would not mind if you removed everything from the game that isn’t raiding. He would be happy to raid every single day, loot or no loot.
I’d love that. I miss the days of valor upgrading gear. It doesn’t make sense to me why M+ gear can be upgraded, but raid gear cannot be.
You can literally upgrade a LFR Gavel from 272 to 311 in S4.
It’s so weird that they launched the valor system without raid gear in mind.
This is the point I’m trying to make, thank you.
The only incentive to raid is for story, experience, fun, mounts, and pets, which some people aren’t interested in any of those. Some people literally just want loot, that is how the game has always been.
