The Problem is Contamination

I meant rated PvP.

But stuff like RWF should definitely be templates and on the tourney servers. Have them drop currency for competitors to buy their stuff on live.

You left that part off, hoss.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

That would help out greatly,if they would have an equipment locker.

This I would question, most raiders and mythic+ player don’t even bother with world questing content . When you look into the background you would see this as a non complete rep work.

When I hear “World Content” - this to me means anything not having to do with dungeons (Leveling, Spark of innovation, Tyr quests, Raid Attunements, World Quests, Storms, Feasts, etc). Every character that has ever played the game has dabbled into “World content.”

There would be some cross over by design it is choice an individual makes that determines it. I do world content in world quests now that I made up my mind not to do the dungeon and raiding scene (until this toaster of a computer is better that is),that doesn’t mean other SHOULD fallow the same path I do,but nontheless,I’ve have been noticing those that complain are mostly those that do raids and mythic+ trying to convince people like me we are doing the content wrong.

I feel like 90% of the complaints people have about raid loot would be fixed by just making more loot drop, and giving people a second valor-like currency for doing bosses that they can spend on buying or AT LEAST upgrading specific items like in mythic plus. You used to be able to reroll your loot on a boss THREE TIMES A WEEK. This got reduced in BFA and then utterly removed in Shadowlands because Blizzard wants “loot to be loot” or whatever excuse they gave for it.

With group loot, ESPECIALLY in pugs and LFR, this is terrible. Group loot is fine in guilds because eventually your whole team gets geared out and all of the loot will get funnelled to the stragglers who got unlucky or refuse to do M+ (often times these people will get it first because they ‘need it more’ because there is no god.) In a PUG, you are competing with people who are guaranteed to need the loot. Especially in normal. Nobody is going to do a normal raid if they don’t need multiple pieces of loot from it. The same goes for LFR.

It is a different pool of players all needing on different items every time. In a raiding guild, you will EVENTUALLY get your bis. In pugs, you could literally -never- get it.

This wasn’t as big of a problem, even before personal loot, -because we had bonus rolls- and much more gear dropped from raid. It’s just not rewarding anymore. You either join progression at the start and get a frustratingly slow trickle of gear, or you join late and are suddenly in full 405 gear because nobody needs anything else, or you PuG and get nothing. It isn’t balanced or fun. It’s either boring, or you get all of your rewards immediately. There is no steady/tangible upward progression in raids anymore.

Which is where my original statement comes in:

You can’t fix toxicity by further separating content types. That is just going to make it worse.

True, that is a human factor not a game design, more like a human kid screaming for attention because he couldn’t have the best trophy on the top shelf.

The original intent of the post was to solve the problem of:

World Content players won’t have to listen to M+ers and Raiders telling them to, “git good,” as that gear won’t translate into World Content.

That is a problem of toxicity, not a problem of gear separation.

With that in consideration as a human factor this “git good” toxicity why would they play this angle if there isn’t a problem.

Dude
what?

If it wasn’t a problem with gear being separate then it is a human factor in it,the gear wasn’t the issue in the first place it was the person view it as one.

If I was with this top gear I wouldn’t complain on it but surely I wouldn’t want anyone else besides me to show I have better top end gear,so I’ll show my ego and start putting down those around me I know better than you. <an example of egocentricity.

I’m sorry, you sound like an AI and I can’t understand how your response has anything to do with mine.

I do do that,it’s a tangent thinking that get to me.But at least I know I can think about those possibilities.

im drinking rn, but it ain’t energy drinks.
does that count?

Nope. Alcohol makes you slow n’ stupid to a point where you’re face down on the floor.

Energy drinks do the opposite. Get that RUSH! feel, but then your heart would like a word with you.

And that word is “stop”.

I’m glad you get it.

These conceptions didn’t come from a vacuum.

Exactly.

If your gear didn’t translate into their world and theirs didn’t translate into yours, there’d be no comparison.

I’d agree to some ‘‘Open World +’’
Make it some specific areas like the Elite mobs areas?
Where in ‘‘that’’ specific area the mobs lvl/dmgs/health scales with your selection of open world content.
Have em drop better loot

More golds

Rep

Transmogs
there are so many I wouldnt believe you cant have a few drops there.
I’m sure some ppl would come up with better ideas, but all in all, any idea s’basically not bad.
I cant count how many time I dint feel like doing a m+ but would just go around the world looking for some rares.
Heck! Make a huge underground that is tedious to venture into

Has different opened sections

Teleports

With challenges, puzzles

Or what not

Anyways
Just wanted to /bump the idea of more open world content

DF Was the one expansion I was hoping for harder open world content, different and improved somehow

I appreciate your ideas, man. Thanks for contributing.
