The Problem is Contamination

You’re not very sharp, are you?

Look kid, I realize that they only give you about 15 minutes or so during recess, so your free time is limited.

Why not take that time to actually read the OP before slinging the playground insult you learned from a 5th grader?

It’s a good read and should only take a few minutes to parse. Even at your reading comprehension level.

I understand that your mommy made a proud face and put your macaroni art on the refrigerator when she heard that you’re reading at a second-grade level but you shouldn’t let that go to your head.

Off with you now.

But we already have that with professions this expansion

It was the worst because it was an endless grind that created additional barriers to compete and made it difficult to play alts.

No to open world progression. Go play minecraft for that.

Yup, it is changing to that yes.

Though i am in favor of seperating the 2 pillars, i do not agree we should reward ppl gear on easy mode content.

I play with you on the same server, and when you run your mouth in trade chat, IQ levels drop, just sayin.

All of this stuff is instance-content problems.

It created barriers to do the three pillars.

This has zero impact on instanced content, so I don’t understand what the concern is.

You must’ve despised Zereth Mortis, I’m guessing, as it was a pretty good analog to what I’m suggesting.

That’s not a very compelling argument.

“People who want different forms of progression should play other games.”

Absurd.

I guess this is the zoomer version of a, “your mom is so fat,” insult.

Grow up.

The problem is, there are people who like to do all of the activities. Raiders don’t raid but once or twice a week and you are pretty much tied to the group you run with. M+ was designed to give players something to do between raids. World content is something that raiders, M+'ers and PVPers all do.

Nobody is being forced to do world quests or world content. Nobody is forced to do M+. Nobody is forced to do raids. Nobody is forced to do PVP.

You don’t solve toxicity by separating groups of players further.

They should play the appropiate genre of games they seek.

Not absurd.

This games genre is MMORPG. What does the MMO stand for?

Except it does.

I stopped playing for a bit when it was out. But I do like a good zone. I don’t think however that it should over-ride what the game is supposed to be for.

Side content is side content for 100 jim.

Yes. The only 3 pillars of end content.

I would never shame your mother for her apparent weight problems.

Man, you guys are so right. Did you remember to do that repeatable world quest that hands out Concentrated Primal Essence?

I seem to keep missing it, somehow.

How? Are you talking about how things are currently? Where all the content is intermingled?

Then you have no idea.

Again, it seems like you’re talking about how things are, currently. Exactly why there should be a fourth pillar in the future.

No but you get a Primal Infusion at the end of each renown track from doing world quests and then you can use that to craft pieces of Heroic ilvl raid gear. That is the highest ilvl of gear you have ever been able to obtain in this game purely from just doing world quests. Solo players have never had it this good before, so if you are complaining about not being able to get good enough gear as a solo/world player in Dragonflight, I have no idea what you are even doing.

When did I make this complaint?

Point it out, go ahead. I’ll wait.

“I didn’t read your opening post, Krutz. I just came in to spew nonsense. I’m sorry.”

No worries, Flower. I forgive you. You’re not alone; lots of people do the same thing.

I did read your opening post though? I don’t think you read my “if” in that sentence and assumed I said you are complaining. I forgive you, it’s fine.

If you read my opening post then you know I’m not complaining about that.

In fact, I’m not complaining about anything.

The intent of this post is to improve the game by creating four seperate endgame progression avenues that do not intermix with any of the others.

This way, everyone, from all walks of life, has something to do to progress their character without having to interact with the aspects of the game they don’t like.

I, personally, do a little bit of everything. I’m a combatant rating in pvp (not impressive) I have KSM (not impressive) I do heroic raiding (no AoTC yet, so not impressive) and I’ve got all the open world stuff.

Not everyone plays like I do, and I understand that. I just want the game to be accessible and fun to everyone. Filled with meaningful paths to progress their character in whichever content they so choose.

Okay, you can just say that instead of whatever you said here then

Okay, then next time you shouldn’t say

When you know I’m not complaining.

Fair enough?

Having read this thread, it has so many takes in it, I’m not even sure what it’s about.

Like a pinata where every kid had a bat and kept hitting it after it hit the ground. Now the innards are spread all over the floor and the pinata itself has been pulverized by twenty screaming kids and you can’t even tell what animal it was supposed to be, anymore.

I’ll give you a TLDR of what my original intent was.

There’s a great scene in Kung Pow where this happens to the main character (sorta) and it’s hilarious.
