Uhhh okay. I’m going to choose to disengage with this because this is just silly lol.
You’re right, no death knight has EVER gotten their kicks out of jumping into the lava and death gripping people with them. Nope, never happened. Especially on Grobbulus.
I honestly think that they’re doing this because SoM failed and they want to force everyone into their experiment. They should have a Wrath classic variety and a SoM variety. They can do whatever they please on the SoM side. That would be soooo much better to me.
Anyways, it is going to be funny with the Anti RDF Crowd when Wrath fully drops and one of there arguments are left in the dust. Because they’ll probably be the first on the forums, making a thread, “why are wrath dungeons so easy?”
Been here since day 1 of Classic, but do continue on with your nonsense gatekeeping if it makes me into your boogeyman.
Never touched Shadowlands, and yes, WotLK is indeed missing RDF. How very perceptive of you.
People used RDF for nearly half of Wrath. People pointing out it was in the 2nd last patch are on some high tier copium that makes them think that’s the important part.
I do not care about wPVP and neither do the absolute majority of players. There’s what, 4 semi balanced PvP servers? Most everyone is on a PvE server. You want world PvP? Then flag up, I’ve been doing it since Classic honor system was implemented, and had plenty of good fights. The difference is, when I want to go PvE, I can just go PvE.
And yes, there’s some activity in BRM. But, in case you haven’t actually been using LFG, majority of groups are using the remote from the safety of a city. So beyond the RDF teleport, the remote brings you right to the boss in some kind of teleporty way,
Nope. I’m here for Wrath. And Wrath is my absolute final Blizzard product. I would just rather not leave Wrath with the current devs bastardizing it.
0/10 would not approve for another.
edit: Oh, and the complaint about wanting Wrath to be like a theme park?
WoW has always been the theme park MMORPG. Removing RDF doesn’t change what it is.
Well, we all know how out-of-touch Blizzard has really been with the community. To claim it is something that the community wanted then later admits in an interview it was a fight between the devs about it…
As far as I’m concerned most of the reasons I argued for no changes back in vanilla are still relevant here. That is, before committing to changes we should get a copy of the old game that is as authentic as they can make it. On top of that, we should be very hesitant about opening the door to what kind of changes Blizzard might make.
For Classic Blizzard went with final patch for everything, which means that in WotLK the RDF is in play here and fall under no changes for better or worse.
We’ve also seen them put in a substitute that is inspired by the retail mechanic mythic+(There are some nuances, but they’re both harder versions of the same dungeon that drop better loot).
You wanted no retail in your classic, and what you got in place of that was something even more retail than what was removed.
This is more or less what the no changes crowd tried to tell people would happen.
You sound like you have no idea wtf you are posting about, just taking second hand accounts of why people quit playing wow, but have no sources to back up you wild claims, makes you look really ignorant of the real reasons people left wow. I feel embarrassed for the anit-RDF group with you on there side, lol.
The thing is, there are probably many factors as to why wow started to decline around the wrath area… and I mean MANY factors. Newer games coming out, the game was already 6 years old, the player base was older, getting jobs careers families etc, social media became a thing etc. There are many reasons why wow probably declined. People who think it was RDF don’t fully understand the issue, but since RDF is such an easy target to use to justify their belief they will continue to use it as a scapegoat. They can’t rationalize otherwise why a game they love declined, when its so easy to easy there were so many reasons why that happened.
You PvP poseurs used the same argument about flying. I’m on a PvE server. How about you keep your watered down retail version of LFG and let us have our authentic RDF? Oh. Also you can ground pound your way through Wrath as well.
I still don’t get the retail argument. Even if RDF were added in, retail and wrath classic would still be 2 different games. Even if this were Legion Classic, it would still be a different game than Shadowlands.
Pro RDF people cant explain what about LFG is so different from RDF that they hate LFG and want RDF back.
Seems to me its the people who others dont want to group with for good reason, wanting the RDF back so they can keep getting into dungeons and be toxic ect with no downside.
Ive not seen anything more than “RDF is faster” which it really isnt for normal people. And then people saying what you said, which again, doesnt explain anything.
