100%. That’s literally all it is: a way for players to bypass pointless, tedious wastes of time and focus on the actual experience of being in a group and doing a dungeon.
That’s the simplest way to put it.

Here is the fundamental difference between pro and anti RDF viewpoints…
Pro-RDF want lower effort, lower commitment, lower intrinsic value content for high extrinsic rewards.
Anti-RDF want higher effort, higher commitment, higher intrinsic value content for the gameplay itself.
And yes, my definition of peak is peak gameplay enjoyment per run. Not peak number of runs per hour.
Also, this person clearly wasn’t around pre-xrealm, because, like, there were tons of actual, honest to goodness PvP guilds in that era. Sure, we couldn’t queue up at 4am and get a game in 2 minutes… but the games we did play were way, way, way more fun than what we have now.
The peak of BGs was pre-xrealm.
The peak of dungeons was pre-RDF.
you are unbelievably delusional
you are unbelievably delusional
More toxicity from pro-RDF people, if this is the type of crowd RDF brings then keep RDF out!
Pro-RDF want lower effort, lower commitment, lower intrinsic value content for high extrinsic rewards.
Or maybe they just want to actually do the dungeons instead of sitting in chat because they don’t consider WoW a glorified chat room.
Anti-RDF want higher effort, higher commitment, higher intrinsic value content for the gameplay itself.
More like you want people to boost their character and skip the content entirely. If I want to enjoy the gameplay and the content for itself, I’m going to do it through RDF.
Without RDF, people rush through because they’ve already spent too much time forming the party and getting into the dungeon. No one talks to each other more than they would with RDF, and the content is enjoyed even less. And then people boost their characters and skip the entire process. Is that what you did? How’s your glider?
Or maybe they just want to actually do the dungeons instead of sitting in chat because they don’t consider WoW a glorified chat room.
It’s not a glorified lobby either, the new CoD dropped you can go play that for RDF.
this isnt toxicity this is an opinion, one thats shared by a very large amount of people
Well, for some people that may be the only way people will talk to them…
one thats shared by a very large amount of people
Clearly not, the anti-RDF crowd WON.
WE got RDF removed, the achievements are ALSO removed AND the Devs sided with us.
Better get used to LFG, it is NOT going ANYWHERE.
The way the classic versions are going, with all of the requested QoL, is more just showing Blizzard was right adding this stuff all along, and there is a very good chance WoW wouldn’t even exist anymore if it stuck to its early game lack of qol design.
im pretty sure theres more people who want RDF than not, blizz themselves just has some delusional idea of “preserving classic spirit” when the game is literally a mutant abomination of what the actual expacs used to be since day 1

That’s pure Copium, if you don’t like social interactions and you wanna play a Lobby based game the new CoD game came out.
Go ruin that Community instead of OURS.
Their delusion is mostly in thinking we can behave as anything other than rabid monkeys. Hint: We can’t.
Go play on a low pop server and try to honestly tell me we dont need RDF. Most of the servers for classic are dead/dying or dead for 1 faction because they have 99.9% population playing same faction. In a perfect world, every server would have 10k+ players and 50/50 faction split, but this isnt that world. Until servers are consolidated, rdf is the only thing thats going to keep people from unsubbing or going back to retail
ya i remember when the RDF was using gear score oh wait
People equate rdf with lfr, they aren’t the same, similar, but not. You beta chuds sure treat them like they are. I guarantee you the anti rdf crowd still wears a mask after 4 boosters and drinks soimilk.

It is NOT Blizzard’s fault you picked a Dead Server. Get over yourself and transfer.
It is Blizzard’s fault they can’t move to a server with a population that won’t die.
Check mate.
Sit down, son.
it’s not blizzard fault you picked a mega sever and have to wait in a 5-hour que.
