You’re the one who set those terms. That’s what I responded to. Because it was absolutely and massively wrong
You literally said, “in terms of months.” It couldn’t have been clearer and you couldn’t have been more wrong. Now when you’ve been proven outrageously wrong you want to move the goal posts and claim all that matters is when the last raid come out. So why did you start the conversation by making it about time in game, months?
You know the most important consideration is time in game. That’s why you claimed, falsely, that rdf was only in the game, “1/4 of wotlk in terms of months.” But go ahead and pretend now that time doesn’t mean anything now that you’ve been made to look like a fool.
That’s a lot different than “it isn’t used”. I just popped on to check and DPS queue times right now are 5 minutes. That is hardly indicative of it not being used.
Grobb is already full enough. If was an RDF free zone they’d have to split the server.
Yes, BGs are quickly going to crap. Have you seen how often nodes are ghosted and BGs devolve into a big TDM roadzug since the change? And it gets worse every day.
The peak of BGs was pre-xrealm.
The peak of dungeons was pre-RDF.
Blizz is often shortsighted and wrong, but for once, they are showing some principles and want to change the course of Classic from what happened the first time around.
The peak was pre-RDF? LOL. TBCC proves that wrong.
First of all, any dungeon that isn’t max level isn’t run. Maybe once in a blue moon, but that’s it. So apparently peak low level dungeons means they collect dust.
As far as max level, spamming your gearscore is peak dungeon? It’s not even the dungeon experience. It’s just getting to the dungeon experience. It means you will run FAR less dungeons, meet FAR less people. Meet endless toxic gatekeeping.
Yes it’s used for very entry level gearing(which can now be bypassed with covenant quests) and there’s a daily covenant mission for it. So yes some people do use it but it’s hardly filling the same role it did for actual end game that heroic dungeons did in TBC, Wrath Cata.
Well I guess I should not assume then. I do not play retail, I just assumed that since Mythicc is relevant that is where people would be. Kinda like normals in Wrath will die pretty quickly when people can do Heroics.
LFD is for leveling and weekly/daily hits for quests.
LFG is used for real content.
some will say I never left a city! for leveling.
don’t listen to these people. If not trolling…they leveled wrong. this is actually the much longer way to do it. so their laziness came at a price. they took waaaaay longer to level.
They’d also be lacking gimme anima to get catch up gear at 60 ding. the catch up gear needs a mix of renown, rep and/or anima. as the crafted 200+'s on AH are trash gear. edit:threads of fate questing mixed in with dungeon gets all this.
trash gear that ain’t cheap based on server AH price. If a player wants to blow 50k on trash greens, yeah, never leave oribos 50 to 60 and enjoy a really bad drop rate in dungeons.
It is used. Stop being disingenuous. Also, how many new players/alts do you think it is getting? I highly doubt it is enough to keep the queues active for 2 years in a pretty bad expansion. Seems it is not people just hitting level cap.
RDF is simply a system in place to allow easier access to dungeons that doesn’t require your attention, thus allowing you more time to go out into the world and enjoy the game for what it has. It is literally just an automated system for 5 player dungeons. That is it. Keeping it in the game makes sense. Removing it from the game does not make sense.
I literally just started playing Classic a couple weeks ago and am discussing my leveling experience. You have to be level 70 and have played for 2 years to be able to have an opinion on what leveling today feels like?
You on the other hand get to trot into Northrend and level 10 levels which anyone could do, with a vastly different dungeon system. I wonder how many people like you paid the $80 to boost your character and then act elitist to people who didn’t.
