That moment when prepatch questlines force you to go to org
Sure. It was those hiveminders who only pretended to hate it to annoy you. It was “cancel culture”. Or was it “incels”. Or “antifa”? Or “wingnuts”? Or some other lame slur du jour to distract from your proclivities?
Enough that they had to pull the plug on the event, offer an apology, and promise they’d never do it again.
You are lecturing us that sadists who get pleasure from abusing other people and are telling us those people should be enjoying being abused are the reasonable ones.
Go find yourself a masochist to abuse.
Why is it in so many of your posts you actively support bullying, while using the name “nobully”?
“Oh, it’s not bullying. Those people should be enjoying being stalked and harassed, because people who are doing it are getting a thrill out of it.”
Could you please provide evidence of this?
They ended the last one early and promised not to do it again it was so unpopular. Other than a few vocal people on either side I see no overwhelming evidence either way.
Okay then, but you seem to be the one with the issues, not folks who don’t want to join the event. I was just thinking your own advice might be the perfect solution for your anger.
Guess not.
To be fair, I don’t think anyone is that upset over the actual “death” (aside from repair bills and wasted time) it’s more the behavior that this enables.
Again, I’m looking forward to the live event since I missed out on the first one. I just don’t think it’s too much to ask to let people decide if they want to opt out.
What is the actual harm of an opt out? Am I missing something?
I am having fun. So this is one point of evidence.
Also my sister is going on PTR . She said “zombies, I’m in.”
So that is two.
Shared exp. , that builds bonds.
A lot of carebears that play this game. Some of us have warmode on 24/7. I’m sorry that you might be slightly inconvenienced for a couple weeks during your “gameplay.” I use gameplay in quotations because it seems most of the people whining hardly play the game to begin with.
no, that’s what YOU are telling me.
and it’s a load of rubbish.
nobody is abusing anybody.
(well… at this point, you’re abusing me by flinging names and stuff at me, but i’ll be a reasonable person and choose to ignore it)
if people don’t want to engage in an event, they don’t have to.
just avoid the area.
it really is as simple as that.
Event just needs slight tuning to make the zombies a wee bit less ridiculously strong, or at least make the guards more useful. Maybe make deaths via zombies not rack up a repair bill.
Otherwise? I love the sheer carnage going on, I haven’t had this much fun getting wrecked in awhile. People getting all whiny and huffy over it are the same people that got Master Looter removed and praised azerite.
Then log in and play.
See how that works. Choice is yours.
Ah… Just came to me. Those screeching that this should be left alone and not changed are pretty much just the “No Changes” crowd from Classic.
No qualms. No gripes. No argument.
Yeah, well reusing old events is my qualm. It has been done and it isn’t fresh and exciting.
It has been done and it isn’t fresh and exciting.
Oh? So your still burnt out from the brief time this happened once before from over a decade ago.
Of course it’s gonna be different. It’s different people(for the most part) and different game now.
So let us say people avoid the main designated cities and areas during this event, thus using the aforementioned “choice”. If these non-event people are out and about in zone unrelated to this event, and are then brought into the event against the mentioned “choice”, by those actively going to find them…
You would then agree that a punishment befitting such level of in-game trolling, would be in order, correct? I mean, the choice is the griefers to go and actively do this, so they should be ok with a 3 day ban or similar.
A lot of carebears that play this game. Some of us have warmode on 24/7.
Why yes I am a care bear, I’m glad that you were able to get that out of your system. I also don’t give a baboons backside it someone who like pvp has warmode on 24/7. I don’t like pvp and should not be forced flagged into it.
I am okay with being killed by players while they are zombies. I do not want to engage with, or be killed by players who are not zombies.
It’s different people(for the most part) and different game now.
It is just a copy paste event basically.
Me dunno. Me just a simple Orc. Me no know the word of the heart nor banhammer.
If your word is to be believed that “the choice is yours”, then I will have to think you would be okay with the scenario I mentioned. This way, those wanting to do the event, can, and in a city as it is meant to be, and those not wanting to partake, stay the heck away, don’t get to do the stuff in the event, but also get to have peace of mind.
All both sides have to do is choose to not interact. Seems pretty reasonable.
I’ll even go as far as to say that the type of people that are trying to petition vetos against fun temporary events, like this are the same people that have been slowy draining the fun out of this MMOs over the years.
Agreed 100%. They only want the game to be for them and no one else. It’s selfishness, and it’s typically the older “gamers” that do it (the ones that have only, ever played WoW and scoff at the idea of playing something else), but then why should we be surprised that older people are so selfish? Look what they’ve done to the housing market. Bought incredibly cheap, then priced out younger generations from purchasing (I own my house, but facts are facts).
