And yet people asking for it to be tuned and fixed so the MAJORITY can enjoy it are being mocked, insulted and treated like whiners.
Instead, they’re going with a mindset of “changing it is heresy!”

I’d prefer something like this, too, but apparently that would be too much effort when they can just copy-and-paste a decade-old event from Wrath. Kind of like how they just recycled Dalaran as the hub in Legion. And the new class is just ARs being able to be DKs.
Not hating, but Blizz is really siphoning as much as they can from the game’s glory days and giving it to us in a recycling bin with a bow.

Commented on that last night. One thing that would have TRULY made it fun and an improvement is if they had it like temporary factions.
IE join the city guard to drive the ghouls back. Or join the Scourge! And it be a back and forth sort of deal.
THAT would have been more dynamic and interesting than “see ghoul , get infected, die, become ghoul, struggle to get so safety because you just want to get the chain done so you can go to northrend and do the dailies.”

Like I said, this is why I hate PvPers. Too many are just grievers who want to ruin other peoples day because their own life sucks so much or they simply are broken people. I take no pleasure in tormenting others and get confused by those who do. Than I see Blizz go this is our base! We want to cater to the people who love to torment you!

There are good PvPers. I’ve known many awesome pvpers. But … what we typically see here on the forum are the dregs of PvP.
Just like comparing all PvE players to the idiots who think they can enter LFR, and do little more than auto-attack. That’s the dregs of PvE.

yes i even tried doing this on ptr, and i caught a gnome dk, half naked with a ghoul in the catacombs…
I shot the ghoul and left, but forever scarred by what i saw…

If the event was permanent I’d agree with the naysayers, but it’s temporary. And this is coming from someone who hates PvP.
Hate the zombie griefers? Hover over them. Wait till the players are distracted by easy marks then slip past them. I was able to get past the capital city madhouse on multiple alts, including slow squishies like my priests. Your quest NPC being held hostage by nolifers? Either wait them out until there’s a gap in the aggro and you can quickly drop in, or just log and come back after mommies all over NA time zones sent their Juniors to bed. Get bitten but don’t want to embrace the griefing party? Run close to the nearest GY and corpse explode to die and shed your zombie form ASAP. Need a service like the barber shop? Run in and spam the chair, they can’t get you once you’re actually in the interface.
Like it’s really not that hard to play around the griefers and it’s an annoyance at worst. PvP servers used to be worse.

I commented, on ptr last night, a way they could have improved the event. It came about after a disucssion of “lets get rid of the ghouls so we can actualyl do stuff!”
There was ONE guy defending the argent healer at hte cathedral.
“Picture this. There are two temporary factions. You can join the city guard and fight back against the ghouls. or you can join the scourge.”
With a sort of back and forth. That I think would have been more interesting than simply “ghoul gets close, you get infected fast, you die, you become a ghoul.”
Not really fun, especially if you dislike pvp.
Why do people end what they believe by saying “Period” I had a stepdad who did this as if once he said period then there couldnt possibly be any other way or any other belief. Who do people think they are…cause you’re not. Step down off that pedastel of righteousness that you believe you hover over the rest of us with. Your word isnt final no matter how many ignorant “periods” you put at the end of your sentences.
Exactly like the last one, when so many people decided not to log in permanently that they had to cut it short, offer an apology, and promise they’d never do it again.
The idea that people who don’t want to be abused are being unreasonable, while people who want victims handed to them on a silver platter are the reasonable ones… You sound like you have a disconnect someplace.

Dude…you just mentioned cancel-culture in a gaming post, on an event that may happen…in the game. It seems it is already personal to you.
