I would say I agree with that but say its the younger gen that wants it its own way.
I don’t like the event I just want to opt out. I am all for others to have their fun, I just don’t want to be bothered by it.
The fact is those that want it can’t just enjoy it on their own. They have to have us in their with them as they destroy our gameplay or it isn’t fun for them.
Let me have my space, the others can have theirs. Why is asking for my own space such an issue?

i’m annoyed with the people who want to stifle an ingame event which they can choose to avoid by not afking in the affected areas, but i’m relaxed.

As one who did not mind the event the first time around, I will say this event shows how disconnected developers are from the player base. Not only is the event rehashed content, but it is rehashed content that was not very well received the first time around.

But we will go with it I suppose. I’ll put you down as a “yes I agree” for my example I floated to another player earlier in this thread, the one where choice is involved.

Nah these people don’t want choice at all. Especially If you don’t agree with them.
I am all for let them have their space, just give me an opt out so I don’t have to deal with them. I say let us both be happy.
The problem is, these people can’t be happy unless they have the opportunity to make YOU unhappy. All they want to do is grief other players.

i’m not familiar with the post you’re referencing… but you’d be correct in stating choice is involved.
this is 100% optional.
if people want nothing to do with it, they can log their characters in a “safe space” prior to the patch, and simply avoid the area.
it would be nice to see people actually acting as a community, and working together, instead of attempting to cause a divide among players.
i’ve already suggested (in one or more of these spammy threads) that if people want to “take a stand” and not join in, they could start a thread to share their bnets, and help each other out with portals and other conveniences.
however, this hasn’t happened, and it won’t happen, because they’re not interested in convenience for themselves… they’re more interested in upsetting people who are looking forward to the event.
How about a simple checkbox saying I don’t want to opt in?
Or are you so desperate to kill other players, you need the ability to have a 1% chance to kill those who simply walk into a place unaware something is going on?
If you give us an actual opt out, how does that hurt you in any way shape or form?

Because thesis already rehashed content and rediculous its being used to promote yet another pac?
Use flagging rules. It would be simple to do.
Besides, having to stay out of major cities IS impacting my play.
Now again tell me how an opt out would hurt you? Or are you that demanding to play 10 year old content again? How about he skip SL and just re-release Wrath right? That would save dev time too

That is the example I made. Basically those not wanting to do the event do not go to the areas with the event, but those doing the event ca not go to the “non-event” areas, or there is a penalty. I’d even say those not doing the event, will not be able to beat the bosses and get any of the rewards.

can also refer to folks wanting this event, and get pissed at those who don’t.

Just for clarity, my quoted section was to another player earlier, not to NoBully if people are following this at all.
Because the ones who know what’s going on can’t go there. Just so some PvPers can get off on ruining others play time.
