Calls you these names while typing in all caps, on the verge of a heart attack, seething with “unbridled rage”…and all over a virtual event that they can simply chose to opt out of by not logging in for a few days…
Just noting the irony. I don’t have any other point with this post.

This is a game, not being able to opt out does not hurt anyone either. A short event that will probably never happen again. I’d rather this being a world wide event without a opt out version. A short exception to what WM is. Thinking different than you does not make me evil. Demonizing people because they think different is.
The keyboard warriors always said if you do not like pvp opt out of Warmode. Now that I have not actively used Warmode in over a year how do you explain this?!

It’s just sheer weirdness. I personally didn’t find it entertaining.
Chose not to participate? It’s a timed event with a short window. Just don’t log in.
OR, do in game activities that won’t have you participate.
I agree with the void elf. I want a legal offline singleplayer mode for this game too. People are too used to this game being a lobby that they can’t tolerate a small once in a lifetime event that isn’t singleplayer-phased in nature. its why we can’t have nice things.

While I enjoy these sorts of events, would it have been that bad to make it War Mode exclusive? 
Meh Lamest pre patch ever I was hoping to gear alts.
I didn’t enjoy the invasion the first time around. Doubt this time will be any different.
This time, however, it’s worse because it is a rehash of something old. Nothing new here at all.
It fits the lore. I will give it that, but it’s an old pre-patch event being reused, and old bosses and loot being reused.
I mean I’m going to try to take part but if it’s some joke of an Orgrimmar lagfest I’m just going to farm mounts or old transmogs or something. I don’t have the patience to put up with content that wasn’t implemented properly when they had all the time in the world to get it done right. People are saying it’s super lagged out, so…
We will never get a pre patch as cool as Legion Invasions again although I guess griefers want a due before Blizzard deletes pvp in 10.0.
I loved the Legion pre-patch. That was top tier.
It really was the best we have ever gotten.
We already had this event for Wrath prepatch, so since they are bringing it back we can’t say they won’t do it a third time.
Nah it’s not fine. People on the PTR feedback forum are thankfully giving constructive feedback and suggesting things like opt ins because they’ve experienced first hand how horrid it is. Blizzard will hopefully make it opt in. Or even better delete the entire event.
Who knows? Maybe the game wont even be around for a next time, how many years it happened since wrath?
It gave us transmogs, pets and the opportunity to gear up alts before the artifact grind. It was fun and engaging and truly unique. It wasn’t a rehash and I really appreciated it coming at a time in my life that I really need the the distraction.
