it would hurt everyone.
aside from pushing the patch back, because it would need to be created and tested, it makes no sense.
when something happens in the world, it happens in the entire world.

Why not? On PTR the ghouls are easily killed. Except the player controlled ones, they just have a bit of hp.
Keep these and I am cool.
Put these in war mode and I am cool.
I mean if you want to PvP, turn war mode on! How hard is that to understand?
I mean if you want to avoid zombies, don’t go near the zombies! How hard is that to understand?
Yes, I agree.
I was present during the legion pre patch event, and let me tell you, that was some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing a game ! Turning into a dreadlord and wiping out everyone in the auction house was blast! I eagerly await for this pre patch event.
And yes, people will complain, people will always find something to complain about. Hopefully blizzard will turn a deaf ear and realize that alot of us are excited about this !
ITs real simple war mode is For PvP. I mean if its not ever single complainer on here is right to complain if they got killed in war mode when they are just there for the bonus.
You choice. war mode = pvp or war mode =whatever we want including pvp free xp bonus while leveling.
edit - see this is why we can’t have nice things. some people just want to stop you from having them.
Went to Crossroads for the quest. Got infected by a random person exploding. Went to the only Argent Crusade NPC in the town, they couldn’t cure it.
Guess I’ll die then.
The event isn’t that bad, just some minor inconveniences. People having trouble with the AH? You mean, they don’t have the AH in their garrison or a mount that lets them use the AH anywhere? Pshhaw, plebians.
Well, it has been an interesting conversation to say the least, but I am getting old and need sleep.
To be fair, none of this “choice” stuff is real. My example I gave sounds great, but it is just academic because the whole situation of “choice” hinges on people having self-control and not going near each other. When was the last time, we ever saw this game society exercise self-control? I’d wait, but I’d pass into the unknown, before we found the answer.
This event will happen, as Blizzard thinks it should. I believe that decision will be based on $$ and how the aggrieved party’s threats, effect said $$.
That doesn’t mean the folks wanting to not be effected are wrong, or that the griefers are right. This discussion of “choice” was engaging, but not logging in to a game you like and pay for, as an opt out…isn’t really a choice.
Anyway, try not to get too wound up folks. Even if you win, you lose with elevated blood pressure.
OH, and people…you have a level 14 mage named Karynn posting here. Maybe they are legit, but …karynn being serious? really? In today’s world?
Stranger things I guess
speak of the fcking devil…
WALL OF TEXT:
It’s definitely not. Boomers and Gen-X all talk about how Millennials etc are lazy and selfish, then cry when they have to wear masks in public to protect each other. The same sorts of attitudes are apparent in the WoW community.
Younger generations just want a chance, while older generations that absolutely had it much easier (y’all didn’t have 100k student debt for example, because college tuition was not remotely the price it has been in the last decade), the housing market was also no where remotely near what it is now, and younger people have been priced out with that combo. This is just for the majority as well, add any minority to that equation and it’s 10x worse. Then the older generations have the nerve to talk about selfishness of young people, after pricing them out of education and housing. Should we talk about the climate? Not only did they destroy our environment to the point that we’re facing a global crisis, but they go even further to deny it happening altogether.
WoW is mostly played by older people. Sure there’s some elder millennials and a few kids belonging the gen-x crowd, but by majority it’s older people.
It’s always the older generation demanding things be their way, no masks, demanding people go back to work so they can get haircuts in a pandemic, literally harassing and sometimes assaulting essential workers for trying to protect themselves by enforcing policies that have LITERALLY nothing to do with “constitutional rights” (morons that think they have the right to shop don’t know the constitution from their own rear ends).
Yes, that was a rant (yes, I’m sick of the hypocrisy of the older generations) - but it applies here as well. It’s the same people. The same, angry old generations who deny any wrongdoing and would actually have to have the self-awareness to see their own hypocrisy.
It’s all the same attitude and self-entitlement as the people here screeching about an event that’s only going to last a month, out of the decade and a half of the time they’ve been playing this game. Sure, there are some young people who still believe the lies and idiocy older generations have spouted, trickle-drown economics, climate change denying, telling the rest of us to “work harder” when they had it 100x easier financially at the same time hording the wealth they tell us to work harder for.
They’re all the same, old, selfish people.
go off Karynn, your the only Karynn I ever liked
I’ve had too many lattes.
from what I seen in ptr, if you like being a ghost/spirit and being in the gy all day. this event is going to be fun for you.
if you trying to level forget going into a town or major city. ah players hahaha.
hope they fix it.
ima be honest,
it needs a lil work, like rats and cockroaches not insta-turning people into zombies, a infection debuff yes, but insta zombies? too much…
WOW there is a LOT of hate in that rant. Parts of it fairly true parts of it not even close.
I will say this though. Like I tell my son (24), I regret the world he is living in, its a lot harder in some ways than I had it, much easier in others. ITs different. At least my son doesn’t blame me for the things that the boomers and their kids did. He and are are the forgotten generations between the boomers and their kids.
I will say this though, I was raised to appreciate what my parents did and what they went through. I don’t see much of that today except from my own kids who I raised right.
Man, if you’re already grumpy enough to issue ultimatums into the aether (the internet equivalent of yelling at clouds) then you are going to be absolutely miserable when the non-forum, non-PTR player base hits this event on live and hates it.
And that is what i shall do. Log for the duration and play SWTOR.
I have just one question…
What is a
Oh wait, I rolled on my ability to speak Typo and got a 20, so I realised its ‘unique’.
Well, you can believe that; generalisations are always iffy but feel free to have that opinion. I think the event is an interesting one, I’ll feel less engaged with it if it continues for 4 weeks. And I’ll certainly reconsider starting any new characters because getting past waves of them on a level 10 is about as much fun as treading barefoot on a nail…
But all in all you were given opportunities, and still made it in before college tuition went INSANE and the housing market wasn’t unobtainable.
We don’t have to accept that all, because you’re just saying “if we allowed you to have a leg-up we’d have to give up our comfy lives.” Tired. Of. It.
We can’t, because the opportunities are gone. You need to have a top of the line education, that costs an insane amount of money, in order to get an INTERNSHIP with no pay in the career you studied for, while having massive student debt. We can’t buy houses when we owe student debt (the amount of money that older generations never had to pay for their educations), of which can’t be paid off on minimum wage jobs. And yet we’re expected to have the best jobs in order to make enough money to buy houses that cost yet another insane amount. Oh, and if we want to live somewhere where we can actually build our careers, since we can’t afford homes on no pay or entry level jobs, we have to rent from boomers and gen-x (so they can have their residual income) in some places upwards of $3000 a month in certain areas, most areas around $1500, all while trying to pay back student debt.
There are hoops inside the hoops for younger generations to jump through, and all you can say is, “don’t generalize me bro” when the fact is, IN GENERAL, older generations have put future generations in these positions all while saying selfish nonsense like,
The FACT is, a community college education is NOT competitive, (not to mention still expensive) and people WITH top of the line educations are mostly being left to work in areas that they are extremely overqualified for because the amount of opportunities for people to make a decent life for themselves are drying up day-by-day.
We can’t even settle for lesser education these days either, because it’s all becoming automated - led by older generations who created these business with less financial, less time, and less personal risk that younger people have or will have in their lifetimes because of it.
You think Gen-X and Gen-Z are like one another? That’s a bunch of beesechurger.
No. Just plain no.
