I can kind of see both sides on the issue. Some players want to be all-stars in all sectors of the game and others want to feel like their choices actually matter instead of being totally inconsequential like their transmog or something.
Maybe a solution that meets halfway could work something like the Nazjatar guardian system, where you pick your covenant for the day and each covenant can be leveled separately. This adds a bit more gravity to the choice but allows more flexibility for the players willing to put in a little extra work for it.
Professions weren’t a choice you were right or wrong . And race class combos let’s look at where it is most strongly in effect classic why are there so many dwarf priest ?
I said everything shouldn’t be able to be done by everyone. You made up some nonsense that I never said and tried to claim we had equal input, which is false. Keep your fallacies to yourself.
More than just a cooldown on switching, this adjustment would add a little depth to the system, with most players choosing primary, secondary, and tertiary covenants with each getting time investments according to what the player does most. So for example Orcy Mcraidpants would choose the best one for raiding as his primary covenant, but he does casual BGs in his downtime and would choose the best one for PvP as his secondary covenant.
I’m definitely no minmaxer though lol, any minmaxer looking at my armory would probably run in terror. I’ve also played fire mage since vanilla, so no FotM class switching here either.
So as a person that likes open world , dungeons and raiding and occasional random BGs , I should pick just one activity to focus on instead of and fully enjoy just that and stop finding enjoyment in how I want to play the game?
What? Yes they were. Engineering was strong in pvp until they nerfed it to death. Races like dwarf priest… was a choice to be op. Race changes are not free because they want consequence to change them. Just like professions cost gold and time to swap. But you guys just want all the advantages of covenant to be accessible with no drawbacks? No.
