The #nochanges slippery slope argument is a logical fallacy

So still trolling with the insults and now attacking my name LOL!

Not trolling, I think your name is awesome.

I could do without transmog and lfg/r.

Again, you’re not saying how. Just linking me “Slippery Slope”. Again, what is “etc.”? What changes are included? We haven’t clarified what that means, yet.

CRZ, Dungeon Finder, shared tagging? What is it?

Huffpost, his name is literally just Flowers… backwards… >.>

Holy cow you’re the first to get it!
I’m not kidding, you really did I cant believe it.

I can sense your passion.

The minute you realize those are two different sentences it will help you a lot. There is also a qualifier word there ‘just’, which means you don’t get to combine those sentences and make them into something else.

I could argue that your wikipedia link is a red herring. If you have any logical argument that suggests giving in to player requests for changes to the game will not embolden other segments of the population to demand their own changes I am all ears.

Omg you smoke weed that’s so cool and unique

You’re welcome to use a different source.

Argument from fallacy, -50 points.

Nope. It was a number of changes, and some were more damaging than others. I never said this wasn’t a complex issue as it happened. But that’s all the more reason to try to safeguard it from happening again in Classic.

Got any evidence of that claim?
Your claims keep mounting and we haven’t seen a lick of evidence.

Yet still doesn’t answer what’s included in the use of the word “etc.” essentially proving the slope is real. Anybody can take “etc.” and apply it to any change. OP refuses to define which changes are included or excluded from that.

More than that, the slippery slope argument is unnecessary; at least two of the changes she wants are awful already in and of themselves.

Yes, they’re two different sentences. You can tell because a period shows up between them.

Just like the two sentences I just wrote. It doesn’t mean they’re unrelated. Nor does it mean that the phrase “and play for years” somehow magically means something other than the amount of people retained.

The word “just” specifically contrasts the latter sentence with the former, leading up to the “we’re fine either way” conclusion in the second sentence, which would be meaningless without the first.

Would you like to try an actual counterargument to the quoted developer post saying they’re fine with however many people end up playing long-term (in the context of tourists who will leave soon, no less), and get to the part where he says that it’s also about preserving something they think is important, or would you like to quit while you’re (so to speak) ahead?

Yeah but one trajectory. One flight plan that has been followed. One slope that has been slid. Is it that hard to imagine just going down a different slope? A better one perhaps?

Remember guys, Blizzard already made a quality of life change by allowing you to mail multiple items. Its only a matter of time until we get the changes we would like to see in the game. The slippery slope says so!

Who decides which slope is superior?
